ST. LOUIS -- Yadier Molina continues to hang on as the leading vote-getter at catcher for the National League in the race to start at the 2016 All-Star Game presented by MasterCard. The update of NL vote totals for the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot released Wednesday had Buster Posey second again behind Molina.
Molina's lead narrowed to 75,413 votes over Posey since last week. The Cardinals catcher hit .211 over the past week.

Matt Carpenter stayed in third place in the race to start at third base. He picked up 182,192 votes, still not enough to come close to the Cubs' Kris Bryant in first and Rockies third baseman Nolan Arenado in second. Both players are over 800,000 votes ahead of him.
Stephen Piscotty moved up for the third straight week with another 160,543 votes. He is 10th among outfielders after jumping over Hunter Pence. Matt Holliday remained in 12th place, grabbing another 146,197 votes after hitting two home runs and getting three hits in six games since the last update.

Fans can cast their votes for starters at MLB.com and all 30 club sites -- on their computers, tablets and smartphones -- exclusively online using the 2016 Esurance MLB All-Star Game Ballot until Thursday, June 30, at 10:59 p.m. CT.
