LOS ANGELES -- Yasiel Puig lived up to his Players Weekend nickname during the Dodgers' 3-0 loss to the Brewers on Saturday, as the "Wild Horse" thrilled the Dodger Stadium crowd with an electric trip to third base and a home run-robbing grab against the right-field wall.
With two outs in the second inning of a scoreless game, Puig hit a sharp ground ball that deflected off the glove of Brewers third baseman Travis Shaw, ricocheting into foul territory in shallow left field. Puig was thinking two all the way and went into second standing up as Shaw's throw to Neil Walker was wide and took the second baseman well off the bag.

Puig wasn't done.
The "Wild Horse" immediately saw that the Brewers left third base uncovered, and he scampered another 90 feet a surprised Walker's throw was off line. Puig would be stranded at third, as Chase Utley grounded out in the next at-bat to end the frame, but everyone got to see how Puig got his moniker.

Puig still wasn't done.
In the top of the sixth, Domingo Santana hit a fly ball headed near the short portion of the right-field wall, Puig sprinted over and crashed into wall near the foul pole, reaching out to rob Santana of a homer with an inning-ending grab that kept the score 2-0 Brewers.
The "Wild Horse" trotted off the field to a standing ovation. He was replaced on defense to start the eighth inning, but Dave Roberts said after the game he was just a little sore. Puig is expected to sit on Sunday as a previously scheduled day off.
