2022 National Baseball Hall of Fame election results to be announced exclusively on MLB Network on Tuesday, Jan. 25, at 6 p.m. ET

Four-hour announcement program co-hosted by Greg Amsinger, Brian Kenny and Lauren Shehadi begins at 4 p.m. ET

For the second consecutive year, Brian Kenny to host MLB Now Live from the National Baseball Hall of Fame this Monday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. ET

The results of the 2022 National Baseball Hall of Fame election will be announced exclusively on MLB Network on Tuesday, Jan. 25, live at 6 p.m. ET, part of a four-hour announcement show. Beginning at 4 p.m. ET, the program will feature National Baseball Hall of Fame President Josh Rawitch revealing the results live from the Hall of Fame Plaque Gallery in Cooperstown, as voted by the Baseball Writers’ Association of America (BBWAA). MLB Network’s Hall of Fame program Tuesday will be simulcast on MLB.com and in the MLB app on connected devices.

Anchored by Greg Amsinger, Brian Kenny and Lauren Shehadi, MLB Network’s extensive Hall of Fame election coverage will include analysis from 2018 Ford C. Frick Award winner Bob Costas, MLB Network analyst Harold Reynolds, and MLB Network insiders and Hall of Fame voters Jon Morosi, Joel Sherman and Tom Verducci. For the first time, clips from a players-only roundtable discussion on the 2022 BBWAA ballot will air throughout the program hosted by Reynolds and featuring MLB Network analyst Yonder Alonso, three-time Gold Glove Award winner Mike Cameron and 2007 Cy Young Award winner Jake Peavy.

Cleveland Guardians manager Terry Francona, 2022 BBWAA Career Excellence Award winner Tim Kurkjian, three-time Manager of the Year Award winner Jim Leyland and longtime MLB journalist and Hall of Fame voter Rob Parker are also scheduled to join the program. Leading up to the announcement show on Tuesday, MLB Network will cover the ballot across its studio programming, including on Hot Stove presented by DiGiorno (9 a.m. ET), High Heat presented by Liberty Mutual (1 p.m. ET) and MLB Now presented by Fisher Investments (2 p.m. ET).

As the exclusive home of the Hall of Fame election announcement since 2009, MLB Network’s live pre-announcement show will include the following in-depth content:

  • Tom Verducci details how this is the final year on the ballot for Barry Bonds and Roger Clemens in an essay;
  • A customized piece by hip-hop legend, Rock & Roll Hall of Famer and diehard baseball fan Chuck D on the questions facing the fans and voters heading into this year’s announcement. A behind-the-scenes look at Chuck D filming the piece can be viewed here.
  • Brian Kenny examines the eight first-year Hall of Fame candidates in an essay;
  • Vignettes covering the excitement which builds over Hall of Fame Weekend in Cooperstown, the aura of the Plaque Gallery and the anticipation around getting “The Call.”

Leading up to this Tuesday, Brian Kenny will host MLB Now live from the National Baseball Hall of Fame for the second consecutive year on Monday, Jan. 24, at 2 p.m. ET. Kenny will preview Hall of Fame election day, with MLB Network insider and Hall of Fame voter Jon Heyman and MLB Network analyst Dan O’Dowd. On Wednesday, Jan. 26, MLB Network will cover the National Baseball Hall of Fame election results throughout its studio programming. The 2022 National Baseball Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, July 24, and will air exclusively on MLB Network.
