Oakland A's outfielder Mark Canha had successful atrhroscopic surgery on his right wrist yesterday at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, the club announced today.

Oakland A's outfielder Mark Canha had successful atrhroscopic surgery on his right wrist yesterday at the Kerlan-Jobe Clinic in Los Angeles, the club announced today. Dr. Steven Shin removed a cyst from Canha's right wrist and expects him to be ready to participate fully in spring training 2018.

Canha hit .208 with five home runs and 14 RBI in 57 games over four stints with the A's last year in his third season in the majors. He had 36 hits, 19 of which went for extra bases (52.8%). The 28-year-old right-hander also batted .283 with 12 home runs and 50 RBI in 75 games with Triple-A Nashville.
