OAKLAND, Calif. - Oakland A's right-handed pitcher Liam Hendriks has cleared waivers and has been outrighted to Triple-A Nashville, the club announced today.
Hendriks compiled a 7.36 ERA and .362 opponents batting average in 13 relief appearances with the A's. He was on the Opening Day roster and logged a 9.00 ERA over his first six appearances before going on the disabled list April 14 with a strained right groin. Hendriks was reinstated June 5 and posted a 6.75 ERA in seven games before he was designated for assignment a week ago today.
