WHAT: The Oakland A's will dedicate Dennis Eckersley Gate at the Oakland Coliseum on Friday, Aug. 25 at 4 p.m. Eckersley, along with members of his family, will be joined by his former teammates for the dedication ceremony, including Rickey Henderson, Carney Lansford, Mike Moore and Terry Steinbach.
The club will also host Dennis Eckersley Day on Saturday, Aug. 26 when 15,000 fans receive an Eckersley bobblehead, presented by Chevron ExtraMile. He will also throw out the ceremonial first pitch before Saturday's 1:05 p.m. game against the Rangers.
