Arlington, TX—Fans attending this weekend’s Rangers-Royals series at Globe Life Park in Arlington will have an opportunity to thank Adrian Beltre for his remarkable Major League career, including his eight years in Texas.
The club announced today that fans will have the opportunity to sign large Adrian Beltre Thank You Cards for the next three games on Friday (7:05 p.m.), Saturday (3:05 p.m.), and Sunday (2:05 p.m.).
The four by six feet cards will be located behind sections 32-34 on the main concourse, and will be available for signing from the time the gates open through the end of the second inning for each game.
The Thank You Cards will be presented to Adrian Beltre as part of the on-field ceremony to retire his uniform number 29 prior to the night game between the Rangers and Oakland A’s on Saturday, June 8.
The Rangers and A’s will play a split doubleheader with separate admissions on Saturday, June 8. The first game is a 1:05 p.m. start and is a makeup from the April 13 rainout between the two clubs. Tickets from the April 13 postponement are good for the 1:05 p.m. game on June 8 and do not need to be exchanged. In addition, fans who purchased cash parking in a Texas Rangers operated parking lot for the April 13 rainout can bring their parking receipt to the June 8 1:05 p.m. game to receive complimentary parking.
The first 5,000 fans, 14 and older, that enter the gates for the 1:05 p.m. game Saturday will receive the Taco Casa Arlington Stadium T-shirt that was originally given away on April 13.
The second game on June 8 is a 8:05 p.m. start, and the Rangers will hold an on-field pre-game ceremony to retire Beltre’s number beginning at approximately 7:10 p.m. A number of special guests are expected to attend with more information to be announced next week. Only fans holding tickets to 8:05 p.m. game will be able to attend the Beltre ceremony.
The first 15,000 fans entering Globe Life Park in Arlington for the 8:05 p.m. game will receive a Dr Pepper/Brookshire’s “The 3,000th Hit” Adrian Beltré Bobblehead that commemorates Beltre’s milestone hit on July 30, 2017, a fourth inning double off Baltimore’s Wade Miley.
June 8 will mark the first time that the Rangers have played two games in one day in Arlington since a split twinbill on September 30, 2012 against the Los Angeles Angels.
Tickets for the June 8 games and all 2019 home games can be purchased at texasrangers.com, by calling 972RANGERS, or at the Globe Life Park in Arlington first base box office.
