Astros to close out 10-game homestand with three-game series vs. BAL

HOUSTON, TX-- The Houston Astros, who currently own the best record (31-16) and winning percentage (.646) in Major League Baseball, will close out their longest homestand of the season with an eventful three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles this weekend (May 26-28).
At 31-16, the Astros are off to their best 47-game start in franchise history, 1.0 game over their second-best start of 30-17 in 2015. The Astros lead the American League in hits, while the pitching staff leads the AL in ERA, strikeouts and opponent batting average and have allowed the fewest runs. Through the first quarter of the season, the Astros had won 70% of their games, joining some select company, as three of the last four teams to do so went on to win the World Series in their respective years.
Friday, May 26 vs. Baltimore Orioles - 7:10 p.m.

Big and Bright Friday Nights begin with a special pregame Budweiser Happy Hour at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, a live DJ, corn hole, jenga and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game. 
The Astros will be recognizing Folds of Honor scholarship recipient Kylie Nemecek with a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of Budweiser and Silver Eagle Distributors. Folds of Honor Foundation is a non-profit organization that supports the families of America's fallen and disabled heroes that have defended our country's freedom. Kylie is a recent graduate of the University of Southern California, who graduated summa cum laude on a four-year Folds of Honor scholarship in honor of her father, Air Force Colonel John Nemecek.
To cap off Big and Bright Friday Night, fans are invited to stay after the game for Friday Night Fireworks, presented by Occidental Petroleum. This Friday's musical theme is Beach Boys. Saturday and Sunday, May 27-28 is Orbit's Birthday Bash celebration! The weekend will kick off with Orbit's Union Station Celebration on Saturday, where fans can mix and mingle with Orbit and his MLB mascot friends Clark the Cub of Chicago Cubs, Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals, The Oriole Bird of the Baltimore Orioles and Rangers Captain of the Texas Rangers for lunch from 2:30 p.m. - 4:00 p.m. The special ticket package includes a Bullpen Box Ticket to Saturday's game vs. the Orioles, a lunch buffet featuring ballpark favorites, a photo opportunity with all of the mascots in attendance and a limited-edition autographed mascot poster. To wrap up Orbit's Birthday Bash, Orbit and his friends will be available for a pregame photo session in the Atrium of Minute Maid Park, located near the Union Station Team Store, from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. While Orbit and his friends will make every attempt to take as many photos as possible, early arrival is suggested since the photo session will end promptly at 12:30 p.m. to allow all the mascots to get ready for the game. Mascots in attendance include Diesel of the Houston Dynamo, Toro of the Houston Texans, The Oriole Bird of the Baltimore Orioles, Clark the Cub of the Chicago Cubs, Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals and Rangers Captain of the Texas Rangers.
Fans are invited to stick around after the game on Sunday for the Astros After Party presented by Budweiser! The Astros After Party, located in the Budweiser Brew House, will begin in the 8th inning and go until an hour after the final out. Fans can enjoy live music, trivia, food and beverage specials, games and visits from the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars.
Astros pitcher Charlie Morton will host 30 Wounded Warrior veterans for Sunday's afternoon game as part of the Salute to Heroes program. The veterans will participate in a Q&A session with Morton prior to Sunday's 1:10 p.m. first pitch.
