HOUSTON, TX-- The Houston Astros, who currently own the best record (31-16) and winning percentage (.646) in Major League Baseball, will close out their longest homestand of the season with an eventful three-game series against the Baltimore Orioles this weekend (May 26-28).
At 31-16, the Astros are off to their best 47-game start in franchise history, 1.0 game over their second-best start of 30-17 in 2015. The Astros lead the American League in hits, while the pitching staff leads the AL in ERA, strikeouts and opponent batting average and have allowed the fewest runs. Through the first quarter of the season, the Astros had won 70% of their games, joining some select company, as three of the last four teams to do so went on to win the World Series in their respective years.

The Astros will be recognizing Folds of Honor scholarship recipient Kylie Nemecek with a ceremonial first pitch on behalf of Budweiser and Silver Eagle Distributors. To wrap up Orbit's Birthday Bash, Orbit and his friends will be available for a pregame photo session in the Atrium of Minute Maid Park, located near the Union Station Team Store, from 12:00 p.m. - 12:30 p.m. While Orbit and his friends will make every attempt to take as many photos as possible, early arrival is suggested since the photo session will end promptly at 12:30 p.m. to allow all the mascots to get ready for the game. Mascots in attendance include Diesel of the Houston Dynamo, Toro of the Houston Texans, The Oriole Bird of the Baltimore Orioles, Clark the Cub of the Chicago Cubs, Fredbird of the St. Louis Cardinals and Rangers Captain of the Texas Rangers.
