The Houston Astros proudly welcome Gardner Denver as the newest corporate partner in the Community Leaders program in 2018. Gardner Denver, in partnership with the Astros Foundation and Astros players, will sponsor the Adopt-A-Fire Station initiative, which seeks to support local first responders and the work they do in the Houston community.
The program will connect Houston fire stations and Astros players by their corresponding jersey numbers. Houston Fire Stations 6, 13 and 62, which are linked to Astros players Jake Marisnick, Tyler White and Brady Rodgers, respectively, were introduced as members of the program during the 2018 Astros Caravan in January. In addition to a framed jersey of the corresponding Astros player, each fire station will receive complimentary tickets to a 2018 Astros home game and Astros T-shirts for the entire station.
"Gardner Denver is proud to partner with the Astros Foundation and be part of the work they do in our community to support Houston's first responders," said Gardner Denver Vice President and General Manager Larry Kerr. "The Adopt-A-First Station initiative is an opportunity for the Gardner Denver team to meet and support the amazing men and women who protect and serve our community with courage, commitment and compassion every single day."
"We warmly welcome our newest Community Leader, Gardner Denver, to the Astros Foundation and our network of generous corporate partners," said Astros Foundation Executive Director Twila Carter. "The Adopt-A-Fire Station program is a great way to honor our local first responders for their service and sacrifice for our community."
