Baseball is back. The 2016 Braves season begins today as pitchers and catchers report to Spring Training, and single-game tickets for the season are on sale now.
The Braves open their Final Season at Turner Field at home on Monday, April 4, against their NL East rival, the Washington Nationals. The final season will be celebrated with gate giveaways, postgame concerts, theme nights and more.
Opening Week will feature special ceremonies, magnetic schedule giveaways presented by Georgia Power and the return of weekly favorites including Friday Night Fireworks presented by Georgia Lottery, Alumni Sundays presented by Hyundai and Kids Run the Bases presented by Children's Healthcare of Atlanta.
Later this season, the first 20,000 fans through the gates on April 23, May 28, June 23, August 18, September 10 and September 17 will take home a commemorative bobblehead featuring Braves icons. Fans can also stick around after the games on May 29, June 25 and August 20 for free postgame concerts featuring Chris Stapleton, Flo Rida and Tori Kelly, respectively. Other promotional highlights include the always popular Star Wars Night on July 1, and an invitation to the ballpark for man's best friend on April 24 and September 18 as part of Bark in the Park. The Braves will be visited by NL West foe the Los Angeles Dodgers from April 19-21, and later that homestand they take on the Boston Red Sox on April 25 and 26. In June, the Chicago Cubs come to town for a three-game series from June 10-12. The Braves close out the regular season at home against the Detroit Tigers from September 30-October 2.
