In 2009, Jake Owen won the Academy of Country Music Award for New Male Vocalist of the Year, officially marking his arrival on the country music scene. Since then, Owen has become a platinum-selling artist and has had six singles hit the number one spot on the Billboard Charts. His most recent album, "American Love," was released in summer 2016 and has already reached number one on the Billboard Charts, making it his second number one album. Owen has also toured with some of the biggest names in country - including Kenny Chesney, Brad Paisley, Little Big Town and more.
MC Hammer's legendary career includes 50 million albums sold worldwide and a multitude of awards. His smash hits "U Can't Touch This" and "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em" earned him three GRAMMY Awards in 1991, and he has received eight GRAMMY nominations total in his career. He has also brought home seven American Music Awards, with a total 11 career nominations. When his single "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em" was released in 1990, it became the best-selling rap album of all time. MC Hammer is also an entrepreneur who has founded and invested in technology companies, which led to him receiving the first Gravity Summit Social Media Marketer of the Year Award at UCLA. The California native spent his teen years as a bat boy for the Oakland Athletics baseball team, where he entertained fans by dancing during breaks in the game. It was here that he earned the nickname "Hammer" for his resemblance to the home run king and Atlanta Braves legend, Hank Aaron. VIP Backstage Passes will be available for the MC Hammer concert and go on sale March 10 at www.Braves.com/vip.
