July 3rd, 2019

MILWAUKEE – Commissioner Emeritus and former Milwaukee Brewers owner Allan H. (Bud) Selig will make an appearance at Miller Park on Saturday, July 13. He will be on hand to throw out a ceremonial first pitch prior to the game against the San Francisco Giants and promote his new book, FOR THE GOOD OF THE GAME: The Inside Story of the Surprising and Dramatic Transformation of Major League Baseball (Morrow, 9780062905956, $28.99).

The book, which goes on sale on Tuesday, July 9, will provide an unprecedented look inside modern baseball, offering insight into how Selig worked with players, managers, owners, and fans to bring much-needed change to baseball. Readers will be taken on the journey that Selig, the ninth commissioner of Major League Baseball, went on as he ushered in some of the most important, and controversial, changes in the game’s history and worked to balance baseball’s storied history with the pressures of the twenty-first century to ensure its future.

Selig will be available for interviews in the press box shortly after throwing out his ceremonial first pitch, which will take place at approximately 6 p.m. on July 13.
