CBS 11 and Rangers Weather Day

CBS 11 meteorologists will present an educational pre-game weather presentation at Texas Live! in Arlington to area schoolchildren attending the Wednesday, May 22, Texas Rangers game at Globe Life Park in Arlington. This marks the 14th year of this springtime tradition in North Texas. 

CBS 11 Meteorologists Scott Padgett, Jeff Jamison, Anne Elise Parks and Jeff Ray will host a “Texas Weather Experts” class, with special appearances by Rangers Captain and the Six-Shooters squad, at approximately 10:00 a.m. The presentation will include interactive lessons, demonstrations and experiments designed to teach students about the following topics:

  • Severe weather safety
  • Understanding watches and warnings
  • Cloud formation
  • The jet stream
  • The solar system
  • The chroma key process

Admission to Weather Day is open to anyone with the purchase of a ticket to the May 22nd Rangers game against the Mariners (1:05 p.m. first pitch). The first 4,000 fans in attendance will receive a free pair of CBS 11/Texas Rangers socks. Entry to Texas Live! will open at 9:30 a.m.
