The Oakland A’s announced that catcher Chris Herrmann had successful arthroscopic surgery on his right knee yesterday at the Pima Surgical Center in Scottsdale, Ariz. The surgery was performed by Dr. Douglas Freedberg and involved a chondroplasty procedure to Herrmann’s central trochlea of his right knee as well as cleaning up loose bodies in the knee. Herrmann will be reevaluated in two weeks.
