Rockies recall Jordan Patterson and Jarry Vasto
The Colorado Rockies announced today that they have recalled infielder-outfielder Jordan Patterson and left-handed pitcher Jerry Vasto from Triple-A Albuquerque.

Additionally, they have placed left-handed pitcher Mike Dunn on the 10-day disabled list with acromioclavicular joint inflammation, retroactive to July 4, and have placed catcher Tom Murphy on the paternity list.
• Patterson, 26, will be making his first appearance on the active Major League roster this season … in 73 games with Triple-A Albuquerque, has batted .265 (68-for-257) with 49 runs, 14 doubles, one triple, 19 home runs, 52 RBI, 28 walks, 83 strikeouts and five stolen bases … is tied for second in the Pacific Coast League in home runs and leads the PCL with 18 hit-by-pitches … recalled by the Rockies one time in 2017, on June 7, but did not make an appearance before being optioned … made his Major League debut for the Rockies in 2016 and batted .444 (8-for-18) with one run, one double, two RBI, one walk and one strikeout in 10 games … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the fourth round of the 2013 First-Year Player Draft out of South Alabama.
• Vasto, 26, will be making his second appearance on the Rockies active roster this season… made his Major League debut on June 10 vs. Arizona after being recalled earlier that day, allowing three runs on three hits with one walk and one strikeout in 0.2 innings pitched … was optioned back to Albuquerque on June 14… in 26 relief appearances with the Isotopes, has gone 2-0 with a 2.36 ERA (26.2 IP, 7 ER), nine walks and 33 strikeouts … was originally drafted by the Rockies in the 24th round of the 2014 First-Year Player Draft out of Felician College.
• Dunn, 33, will be making his second stint of the season on the 10-day disabled list … was reinstated from the DL on June 27 after being placed on the disabled list June 8 with a left rhomboid strain … in 25 appearances this season, is 0-0 with a 9.00 ERA (17.0 IP, 17 ER), 18 walks and 12 strikeouts … across parts of 10 Major League seasons with New York-AL (2009), Atlanta (2010), Miami (2011-16) and Colorado (2017-18), the Farmington, N.M., native is gone 33-26 with four saves, a 3.87 ERA (418.1 IP, 180 ER), 218 walks and 458 strikeouts over 527 games.
• Murphy, 27, has batted .313 (15-for-48) with two runs, six doubles, seven RBI, one walk and 20 strikeouts in 15 games since being recalled from Albuquerque on June 12 … batted .289 (54-for-187) with 34 runs, 14 doubles, two triples, 16 home runs and 45 RBI in 49 games at Triple-A … in 59 games with the Rockies since his Major League debut in 2015, has batted .245 (37-for-151) with 16 runs, 10 doubles, eight home runs, 30 RBI, 11 walks and 58 strikeouts.
The Rockies currently have a full 40-man roster.
