Colorado Rockies reinstate outfielder Carlos González from 10-day DL

The Colorado Rockies announced Monday that they have reinstated outfielder Carlos González from the 10-day disabled list and have placed infielder DJ LeMahieu on the 10-day DL with a right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 28.

The Colorado Rockies announced Monday that they have reinstated outfielder Carlos González from the 10-day disabled list and have placed infielder DJ LeMahieu on the 10-day DL with a right hamstring strain, retroactive to April 28.

 

•  González, 32, was placed on the disabled list April 22 (retroactive to April 19) with a right hamstring strain … re-signed with Colorado on a one-year contract on March 12 … in 20 games, has batted .235 (16-for-68) with eight runs, two doubles, one triple, three home runs, 11 RBI, three walks and two stolen bases … in his career with Colorado, the three-time All-Star has batted .291 (1218-for-4191) with 706 runs, 247 doubles, 36 triples, 214 home runs, 696 RBI, 383 walks and 115 stolen bases … originally acquired via trade from Oakland in exchange for Matt Holliday on Nov. 10, 2008, he has batted .287 (1291-for-4493) with 737 runs, 269 doubles, 37 triples, 218 home runs, 722 RBI, 396 walks and 119 stolen bases across parts of 11 Major League seasons. •  LeMahieu, 29, is batting .290 (31-for-107) with 17 runs, eight doubles, five home runs, 12 RBI, 13 walks and three stolen bases across 27 games played … his five home runs have all come on the road … the 2016 National League Batting Champion was originally acquired by the Rockies via trade with Chicago-NL along with outfielder Tyler Colvin in exchange for infielder Ian Stewart and Minor League RHP Casey Weathers on Dec. 8, 2011 … in parts of seven seasons with Colorado, the two-time All-Star has batted .302 (895-for-2959) with 425 runs scored, 137 doubles, 29 triples, 39 home runs, 295 RBI, 253 walks and 72 stolen bases in 817 games … in his career with Chicago-NL (2011) and Colorado (2012-18), has batted .301 (910-for-3019) with 428 runs, 139 doubles, 29 triples, 39 home runs, 299 RBI, 254 walks and 72 stolen bases across 854 career games.
