The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) named the organization's 2018 Player Development staff.
In 2018, the D-backs will be in their 10th season with the Triple-A Reno Aces, second with the Double-A Jackson Generals, 12th with the Single-A Advanced Visalia Rawhide, fourth with Single-A Kane County Cougars, sixth with the Short-Season A Hillsboro Hops, 20th with the Rookie-Advanced Missoula Osprey, eighth with the Rookie Arizona League (AZL) D-backs and 23rd with the Dominican Summer League (DSL) D-backs.
Notable changes include:
- Coordinators: J.R. House will be in his first season as Field & Catching Coordinator.
- Triple-A Reno: Greg Gross will return for his second season as Manager of the Aces…Jason Camilli (hitting) joins the staff.
- Double-A Jackson: Shelley Duncan will be in his first season as Manager of the Generals…Vince Harrison (hitting) and Javier Colina (coach) join the staff.
- Single-A Advanced Visalia: Joe Mather will be in his first season as Manager of the Rawhide…Franklin Stubbs (hitting) and Travis Denker (coach) join the staff.
- Single-A Kane County: Blake Lalli will be in his first season as Manager of the Cougars…Rick Short (hitting) and Jorge Cortés (coach) join the staff.
- Short-Season A Hillsboro: Micah Franklin (hitting) and Carlos Mesa (coach) join the staff.
- Rookie-Advanced Missoula: José Amado (hitting) and Eddie Oropesa (coach) join the staff.
- Rookie AZL D-backs: Darrin Garner will be in his first season as Manager of the AZL D-backs…Hatuey "Chuy" Mendoza (coach) joins the staff.
- Rookie DSL D-backs: Ronald Ramirez (infield) joins the staff.
