D-backs place Nick Ahmed on Paternity Leave List

Ahmed, 26, has left the team to be with his wife, Amanda, for the birth of their first child. By rule, he will miss a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 3.

The Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) placed SS Nick Ahmed on the Paternity Leave List and recalled RHP Enrique Burgos from Triple-A Reno, as announced by D-backs Sr. Vice President & General Manager Dave Stewart.
Ahmed, 26, has left the team to be with his wife, Amanda, for the birth of their first child. By rule, he will miss a minimum of 1 day and a maximum of 3.
Burgos, 25, was 3-0 with 1 save and a 1.95 ERA (6 ER in 27.2 IP) and 29 strikeouts in 24 games with the Aces this season. He appeared in 7 games with the D-backs from April 23-May 5.
The 6-foot-4, 250-pounder was 2-2 with 2 saves and a 4.67 ERA (14 ER in 27.0 IP) over 3 stints with the D-backs in his first Major League season in 2015.
