D-backs recall Stefan Crichton from Triple-A Reno; place Matt Andriese on 10-day injured list

PHOENIX — The Arizona Diamondbacks recalled RHP Stefan Crichton (stef-FON CRY-ton) from Triple-A Reno and placed RHP Matt Andriese (left foot contusion) on the 10-day injured list.

Crichton, 27, has appeared in 8 games (7 scoreless) over 2 stints with Arizona in 2019, posting a 4.50 ERA (5 ER in 10.0 IP), .194 opponent average and 11 strikeouts. He last pitched with the D-backs on June 26 vs. Dodgers, tossing 2.1 scoreless innings.

In 29 relief appearances with Reno this season, Crichton has gone 2-3 with 1 save and a 4.34 ERA (23 ER in 47.2 IP).

Andriese, 29, is 4-4 with 1 save, a 5.91 ERA (30 ER in 45.2 IP) and 51 strikeouts in 37 games with Arizona in 2019.
