As the Arizona Diamondbacks (@Dbacks) enter the All-Star Break, the team's social media accounts on Twitter and Instagram passed 300,000 and 200,000 followers, respectively, during the past week. The team's Facebook account has more than 729,000 likes while content on each of these platforms and dbacks.com have seen significant reach during the first half of the season.
The team's Instagram account (instagram.com/dbacks) has doubled its following since March 15, 2015, when it reached 100,000 followers. On Twitter (twitter.com/dbacks) the team's following didn't reach 200,000 until early last season, growing more than 50 percent since that time.
The @Dbacks accounts and online presence have grown significantly this season and have included increased video content, as the team released a music video last month set to Justin Timberlake's "Can't Stop the Feeling" that was viewed more than 500,000 times.
Last week, the team's #VoteLamb campaign across all platforms included numerous videos including one spoof featuring Jake Lamb, Archie Bradley and Phil Gosselin that received more than 125,000 views. The team's content received tens of thousands of retweets during a four-day period that continued to spread its reach across the country.
As the D-backs continue to connect with fans on all platforms, the club has one of the most active Snapchat accounts in the league. Fans who add 'dbacks' have unprecedented access to the team with behind-the-scenes photos and videos as well as personal messages from players.
