Royals Charities has announced that Diamond of Dreams will take place on the field at Kauffman Stadium on Thursday, June 14. This year's fundraiser, set to begin at 7 p.m., will benefit the Kansas City Fisher House.
"Diamond of Dreams is a highlight of the summer for Royals Charities, allowing our generous partners, players and guests to experience Kauffman Stadium in a unique way" said Ben Aken, Vice President of Community Relations. "We are thrilled to join 99.7 The Point to welcome Rachel Platten to Kansas City, who will help Royals Charities lead the effort to bring a Fisher House to our community."
Diamond of Dreams will feature appearances from current and former players, as well as live entertainment from singer and songwriter Rachel Platten. Brady Goodman and Taylor McKay, morning show hosts on 99.7 The Point, will serve as emcees.
The event will include a fabulous food and drink menu from Kansas City favorites Bristol Seafood Grill, Cupcake A La Mode, Kansas City Steak Company, La Bodega, Lidia's, McCormick & Schmick's, Teocali Mexican Restaurant and Cantina, and Tannin Wine Bar & Kitchen.
Along with great food, Diamond of Dreams will also feature the Teva Silent Auction. The evening's grand finale will be a spectacular fireworks show.
Prior to the on-field event, Royals Charities will host a private VIP Party for event sponsors that features an exclusive Tiffany & Co. event beginning at 5:30 p.m. Tickets are available for the on-field event for $200 and may be purchased online by Royals Season Ticket Members beginning today at 9 a.m. on www.royals.com/diamondofdreams. Tickets go on sale to the general public on Wednesday, March 21 at 9 a.m.
Proceeds of the event will benefit Royals Charities which will in turn use the funds to contribute towards the building of the first Fisher House in Kansas City. The Fisher House program will provide a "home away from home" for families of patients receiving medical care at the Kansas City VA Medical center. The homes provide temporary free lodging so families can be close to their loved ones during a medical crisis.
A wide range of sponsorship opportunities and corporate packages are also available and can include a private meet-and-greet with a Royals celebrity, a reserved hospitality tent with prominent company signage, event tickets and recognition throughout the festivities. For more on sponsorship opportunities or to purchase a corporate package, please call (816) 504-4311 or email [email protected].
Key event sponsors for Diamond of Dreams include Aramark, LMC Truck Parts & Accessories, Price Chopper, Teva, DSS, Inc., Garmin International, Kansas City Steak Company, Prime Lending, Sprint, Sun Life Financial, The University of Kansas Health System and Tiffany & Co.
