Division-Leading Astros Return Home to Kick Off 10-Game Homestand on Monday

The Astros return home from their West Coast road trip on Monday to kick off a 10-game homestand leading into the final month of the regular season. First place in the AL West will be on the line in the opening series of the homestand, as the Astros will host the Oakland A's for three games from Aug. 27-29. As of today, the Astros hold a 1.5-game lead in the division over the A's, which makes this final meeting between the two clubs as important as any remaining on the schedule. Following Oakland, Houston hosts the LA Angels for four games (Aug. 30-Sept. 2) and the Minnesota Twins for a three-game set (Sept. 3-5).

TICKET POLICY
As a reminder regarding tickets, all fans must either have their printed tickets in hand or utilize the MLB Ballpark App on their mobile devices to access Minute Maid Park and any Astros Street Fests. PDFs, screenshots or any photos of tickets on a mobile device will NOT be accepted, and the Astros will not be able to print tickets on-site. As part of the Astros' ongoing commitment to the safety of all fans, there is no re-entry into the ballpark once fans are scanned in, a policy consistent with the Astros postseason game day protocol as well as with other sports and entertainment venues around the country.
Monday, Aug. 27 vs. Oakland A's - 7:10 p.m.
For the fourth time this season, the Astros will give fans the opportunity to secure a Replica World Champions Ring presented by Coca-Cola. All ticketed fans in attendance on Aug. 27 will receive the popular giveaway at gates upon entry. Gates will open at the special time of 4:00 p.m. on Monday, so fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive the promotional giveaway and not miss any of the game. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for the Replica World Champions Ring giveaway prior to 8:00 a.m. Fans should also note that distribution of the Replica World Champions Ring giveaway will end at the completion of the 6th inning. Any fans entering the ballpark after the end of the 6th inning will not receive a giveaway.
Tuesday, Aug. 28 vs. Oakland A's - 7:10 p.m.
To celebrate Justin Verlander's 200th career win, all Astros fans in attendance will receive a Justin Verlander 200 Wins Commemorative Poster presented by H-E-B at gates upon entry.
Prior to Tuesday's evening contest, the Astros will host an all-Spanish press conference featuring General Manager and President of Business Operations Jeff Luhnow and Spanish-speaking players, including pitcher Héctor Rondón. The press conference will take place in the press conference room at Minute Maid Park, beginning at 2:30 p.m. Media interested in attending Tuesday's all-Spanish press conference should RSVP with Alexandra Noboa at [email protected].
Astros outfielder Tony Kemp will be signing autographs and interacting with fans prior to Tuesday's game at the 5400 FM 1640 Whataburger location in Richmond, TX. He will be joined by Astros mascot Orbit and members of the Astros Coca-Cola Shooting Stars and Shuttle Crew. The event will begin at 11:00 a.m. and autographs will be limited to the first 225 guests to arrive. Player subject to change.
Every Tuesday night home game is $1 Hot Dog Night presented by Nolan Ryan Beef! Fans can purchase an unlimited number of Nolan Ryan Beef hot dogs at $1 each while supplies last (limit of four per person per concession visit).
Wednesday, Aug. 29 vs. Oakland A's - 1:10 p.m.
Prior to Wednesday's contest, the Astros will honor Justin Verlander for his 200th career win with a special pregame ceremony.
Thursday, Aug. 30 vs. LA Angels - 7:10 p.m.
On Thursday, the Astros and AT&T will recognize our country's servicemen and women during AT&T Military Appreciation Night. A Joint Service Color Guard will present our nation's colors prior to the National Anthem and representatives from all five branches of the military will present a giant American flag in the outfield during a pregame ceremony.
Additionally, the 2018 Ryder Cup Trophy Tour will stop at Minute Maid Park on Thursday. The Ryder Cup Trophy will travel 9,000 miles and make stops in 11 cities during the tour. Fans at Minute Maid Park will have a unique opportunity to take a picture with both the Ryder Cup Trophy and the 2017 Commissioner's Trophy from the start of the game through the 4th inning. The unique photo opportunity will take place in the Atrium and is on a first-come, first-served basis. In addition, PGA Legend and former Ryder Cup Captain Hal Sutton will be on-hand to take part in a pregame presentation and throw out a ceremonial first pitch.
Friday, Aug. 31 vs. LA Angels - 7:10 p.m.
Fans will have a chance to show off their poker skills on Friday at Poker Night presented by Global Poker. The event will take place in Union Station Lobby from 5:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m., where fans can participate in sit-and-go poker tournaments that will be scheduled throughout the two-hour pregame event. Fans will have the chance to participate in a variety activities, and if fans complete them all, the first 100 will receive a Global Poker / Houston Astros Poker Case Set, complete with cards and chips. Please note, no special ticket is required to access the event, but fans must be 18 years of age or older to participate. Poker games are non-transactional. No cash or cash prizing.
Big and Bright Friday Nights return to Minute Maid Park this Friday with a special Pregame Happy Hour presented by Budweiser at the Budweiser Brew House, where fans can enjoy $6, 16oz Budweiser Signature Draft beer and food specials, music, corn hole, jenga, and more from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. before every Friday night home game.

This Friday's fireworks display will be set to a chart-toppers musical theme. Saturday, Sept. 1 vs. LA Angels - 6:10 p.m.
Prior to Saturday's contest, 10,000 fans will receive an Alex Bregman "Walk-Off Hit" Bobblehead presented by Nolan Ryan Beef. Fans are encouraged to arrive at the ballpark early to receive any promotional giveaways, as supplies are limited and not guaranteed. However, fans will not be allowed to line up for giveaways prior to 8:00 a.m. on any giveaway day this season.
Fans are invited to put on their boots and two-step their way down to Minute Maid Park for the annual Boot Scoot 'n BBQ Street Fest! Fans with a Sept. 1 game ticket will have access to the country-themed street fest from 3:00 p.m. - 6:00 p.m., featuring live music by the Cottonwood Crows, BBQ from Jackson Street BBQ, cold beer, games, inflatables and more. Sunday's evening matchup vs. the LA Angels will broadcast nationally on ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball, beginning at 7:05 p.m. The evening contest will broadcast nationally on TV on ESPN and on the Astros flagship radio stations SportsTalk 790 KBME and La Ranchera 850 AM/101.7 FM. Please note that Kids Run the Bases will not take place following Sunday's night game and will return tomorrow, Monday, Sept. 3 following the 1:10 p.m. contest vs. the Minnesota Twins.

During a special pregame ceremony, players and coaches from the Astros RBI Softball team will be honored for becoming MLB RBI World Series Champions. The 2018 RBI World Series Championship marks the first ever for Astros RBI Softball and the second overall championship (2010 - Seniors Baseball) for the program. Astros RBI defeated Rays RBI Tampa in a 9-1 contest and finished the 2018 international championship tournament with a 5-2 record. Additionally, Houston's Jenika Lombrana was crowned Most Valuable Player of the Softball Championship Game. The pitcher tossed 5.0 innings, allowing just one unearned run and surrendering only three hits. The righty pitched to a 1.61 ERA over seven games.
Following Monday's 1:10 p.m. afternoon contest, young Astros fans 5-12 are invited to participate in Kids Run the Bases presented by Securian Financial. The line for Kids Run the Bases will begin at Section 131/132.
Tuesday, Sept. 4 vs. Minnesota Twins - 7:10 p.m.
Prior to Tuesday's evening contest, the Astros Foundation and Gardner Denver will welcome Houston Fire Department Station 60, located at 2925 Jeanetta St., into the Adopt-A-Fire Station program, which seeks to support local first responders and the work they do in the Houston community. The program connects Houston fire stations and Astros players. On Tuesday at 11:00 a.m., Astros pitcher Dallas Keuchel will present a framed jersey and visit with Houston Fire Department Station 60 first responders. Please note that date and player are subject to change.
The Astros and Community Leader LyondellBasell are teaming up for First Responders Appreciation Night at the ballpark. At gates, 10,000 fans will receive a Houston Strong First Responders Coin giveaway. First Responders from the Houston region will participate in an on-field, pregame ceremony by presenting a giant American flag in the outfield and lining the base paths with Astros players and coaches during a special pregame ceremony. Additionally, 1,000 tickets were distributed to Tuesday's game, courtesy of LyondellBasell.

COMMISSIONER'S TROPHY ON DISPLAY
Astros fans can view and take photos with the Commissioner's Trophy, free of charge, when the Astros play at home at Minute Maid Park, Monday through Thursday, beginning when gates open until 30 minutes prior to first pitch. A limited number of vouchers for the photo opportunity will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. The Commissioner's Trophy will be available in the Atrium, just outside Union Station Lobby on the main concourse. During Astros home games Friday through Sunday, the Trophy will be on display in the Union Station Team Store from the time gates upon through the end of the game. Please note that the schedule for the Commissioner's Trophy on Thursday, August 30th is altered due to its appearance with the Ryder Cup Trophy, as noted above.
