Dodgers announce 2018 promotional schedule

The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced their promotional schedule and unveiled the team's mini-plan options for the 2018 season.

LOS ANGELES - The Los Angeles Dodgers today announced their promotional schedule and unveiled the team's mini-plan options for the 2018 season. A total of 54 games will feature a promotion or event (full special event calendar to be announced at a later date), starting with the Dodgers' nationally-televised Opening Day game against the San Francisco Giants on Thursday, March 29 at 4:10 p.m.
The promotional schedule, which can be viewed at Dodgers.com/promotions, is highlighted by 10 bobblehead giveaway dates, the return of Friday Night Fireworks, six games with a collector's item giveaway and Fan Appreciation Day on Sunday, Sept. 23. Among the new items added to the 2018 promotional schedule are a piggy bank (June 30 vs. COL), an "It's Time for Dodger Baseball" alarm clock (April 24 vs. MIA) and a Dodger Stadium sand globe (Aug. 30 vs. ARI) to go along with popular returning giveaways of a hooded sweatshirt (April 11 vs. OAK), a player t-shirt (May 26 vs. SD), a beach towel (June 13 vs. TEX), a knit cap (Aug. 20 vs. STL) and a player jersey (Aug. 25 vs. SD). An annual fan favorite, Old Timers Day will be held on Saturday, May 12 (vs. CIN), and will be accompanied by a 60th Anniversary hat giveaway.
Dodger Stadium will be the place to be during the summer holidays in 2018, and the team will have themed promotions with home games on Mother's Day (Cosmetic Bag, May 13 vs. Cincinnati), Memorial Day (Player Apron, May 28 vs. Philadelphia), Father's Day (Money Clip, June 17 vs. San Francisco), Independence Day (Fireworks on both July 3 & July 4 vs. Pittsburgh) and Labor Day (Cooler Bag, Sept. 3 vs. New York Mets). The Dodgers will also join Major League Baseball in celebrating Jackie Robinson Day on April 15, when they will give away a No. 42 Robinson jersey and host the Arizona Diamondbacks.
The Dodgers will also offer family-friendly promotions throughout the season by hosting six Sunday kids giveaways, Kids Run the Bases following most Sunday home games and Viva Los Dodgers prior to the last Sunday home game each month to give families a full and memorable day at the ballpark. The season-long Viva Los Dodgers celebrations culminate with La Gran Fiesta on Saturday, Sept. 22.
The Dodgers additionally unveiled new mini-plan options for 2018 with the 10-game Value Mini-Plan, which is available at special value pricing for a limited time, and the 37-game Flex Plan, the only mini-plan to include possible rights to purchase tickets to one World Series game. Fans are invited to purchase their mini-plans at the team's 'Blue Friday' event this Friday, Nov. 24 from 10:00 a.m.-5:00 p.m. at the Top of the Park store at Dodger Stadium, where the team will offer a 15% discount on merchandise, autographs from Dodger alumni Tommy Davis, Dennis Powell and Billy Ashley, and holiday photos with the Dodger Bobblehead character. Friday will also mark the Grand Opening of "60 Years in LA" - A Pop-Up Museum Experience Presented by Mastercard on the Left Field Reserve.
