The Kansas City Royals are excited to announce the first ever Tech Night at The K, presented by Konica Minolta. The event will be held on Thursday, July 20, when the Royals host the Detroit Tigers.
Acknowledging the strong tech presence in the community, the Club partnered with the KC Tech Council for the inaugural event.
"Tech and Royals baseball are big in Kansas City," said Ryan Weber, President of the KC Tech Council. "With 90,000 Kansas Citians working in the tech industry, the magnitude and innovation are certainly something to celebrate. We're thrilled to partner with the Royals for Tech Night at The K to salute the people, excitement and economic impact the tech industry brings to our region."
"The Kansas City community and their love for tech will really appreciate our innovative Workplace of the Future™ solutions," said Kay Du Fernandez, Senior Vice President of Marketing, Konica Minolta. "They'll see that our passion for helping to boost collaboration, efficiency and productivity in businesses of all sizes is equal to the passion they have for Royals baseball."
Fans who purchase the Tech Night at The K Theme Ticket will receive a Royals-branded power bank in addition to their seat at the game. The aluminum, 2600 mAh Power Bank is a portable phone charger that will work with most smart phones. Fans can pick up their Tech Night power bank by entering the ballpark Thursday through Gate A. Redemption will be available from 5:30 p.m. until the end of the second inning. Theme Tickets are still available for purchase at www.royals.com/themetickets or by calling 1-800-6ROYALS.
First pitch for the series finale against the Tigers is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
