Shearod Brooks II, a freshman at Philander Smith College, earned MLB’s RBI for RBI $20,000 scholarship, one of only 12 incoming college freshmen nationally to receive the scholarship. The grant was awarded through the “RBI for RBI” Scholarship Fund, created in 2008 to provide financial support for college-bound student-athletes based on academic record, leadership qualities, participation in school and community activities and financial need. Since its inception, the “RBI for RBI” Scholarship Fund has awarded more than 180 college scholarships to Nike RBI participants from more than 40 programs.
Alyssa Summers, an Academy softball alumna, was awarded the $20,000 Rudd-Holley Family Scholarship. Established in 2024, thanks to the generosity of the Rudd-Holley family, one scholarship is awarded annually to a multi-year Youth Academy participant worth $5,000 per year over four years for a total of $20,000.
Brayden Collins, Raul Castro, Daylon Brooks, Meagan Robles and Alexandra Stone each earned a $5,000 Rangers RBI Scholarship presented by Rangers pitcher Nathan Eovaldi and his family. This scholarship awards current Rangers Nike RBI participants with a one-time payment of $5,000.
