Programs MLB Central, High Heat, MLB Now, Off Base, Intentional Talk, MLB Tonight, Quick Pitch and Play Ball Return for 2023 Regular Season

March 28, 2023 - Exhilarating live games and eight distinctive studio programs blanket MLB Network’s programming for the 2023 regular season. The first Casamigos Tequila MLB Network Showcase telecast will be on Opening Day featuring the San Francisco Giants visiting the New York Yankees this Thursday, March 30, at 1:05 p.m. ET, with Matt Vasgersian (play-by-play), Tom Verducci (analyst) and Jon Morosi (reporter) on the call from Yankee Stadium. MLB Network’s daily studio lineup for the 2023 regular season features:

  • 9 a.m. ET – MLB Central presented by HyundaiRobert Flores, Mark DeRosa and Lauren Shehadi offer an informative, irreverent and humorous look at the game, covering the previous night’s action and the slate of games ahead.
  • 11 a.m. ET – High Heat – In an action-packed show, Christopher Russo and Alanna Rizzo bring lively discussion and debate, including interviews with MLB’s biggest newsmakers.
  • 12 p.m. ET – MLB Now – Coined “The show for the thinking fan,” host Brian Kenny examines the latest analytics and trends in the game. Panelists Bob Costas, Mark Feinsand, Jon Heyman, Hannah Keyser, Sarah Langs, Dan O’Dowd, Steve Phillips, Joel Sherman, Jayson Stark and others provide thoughtful discussion on how the play on the field and data-driven decisions continues to evolve in baseball.
  • 4 p.m. ET – Off Base – Unique perspectives on the hottest topics by host Lauren Gardner and panelists including Ariel Epstein and Xavier Scruggs. The show explores the buzz across social media, from baseball culture to player fashion.
  • 5 p.m. ET – Intentional Talk – New co-hosts Ryan Dempster and Siera Santos join show staple Kevin Millar to cover the beauty and hilarity that baseball produces. Unfiltered analysis alongside revealing player interviews makes the show sing for all fans.
  • 6 p.m. ET – MLB Tonight presented by ChevroletHarold Reynolds and Adnan Virk team up for a new-look program featuring all of MLB Network’s bells and whistles: On-site interviews and demos via Ballpark Cam and unparalleled analysis in Studio 42, MLB Network’s replica baseball field.
  • 10 p.m. ET – MLB Tonight presented by Chevrolet – Live look-ins of key moments from every game across MLB. As big plays unfold, Greg Amsinger, Dan Plesac and a collection of former big-leaguers turned analysts offer their off-the-cuff reaction producing entertaining and knowledgeable content.
  • 1 a.m. ET – Quick PitchKeiana Martin and Kelly Nash bring fans up to speed on everything that happened that day in baseball. Scores, jaw-dropping highlights, mesmerizing statistics, important news and the best calls from announcers across the country.

Play Ball presented by Nike, MLB Network’s weekly program designed to educate young fans about the great game of baseball, returns this Saturday, April 1, at 10 a.m. ET. In the first episode of this season, host A.J. Andrews visits Milwaukee Brewers top prospects Sal Frelick, Garrett Mitchell, Brice Turang and Joey Wiemer to discuss their camaraderie as they’re featured in the Brewers’ Spring Training docuseries called The Freshman. An American League preview program will air tonight at 6 p.m. ET, followed by a National League preview program at 7 p.m. ET. MLB Network’s 2023 predictions special will air tomorrow, March 29 at 8 p.m. ET.

For Opening Day this Thursday, MLB Central (9 a.m. ET), High Heat (11 a.m. ET) start MLB Network’s live programming, plus MLB Tonight (12 p.m. ET) will lead up to and follow the Giants at Yankees game. MLB Network’s regular daily studio lineup highlighted above begins this Friday, March 31. Live games will be featured across MLB Network’s programming, including the New York Mets at Miami Marlins this Friday, March 31, at 6:30 p.m. ET, followed by the Colorado Rockies at San Diego Padres at 9:30 p.m. ET. This weekend’s action on MLB Network features the Los Angeles Dodgers hosting the Arizona Diamondbacks on Saturday, April 1 at 9 p.m. ET, plus the Cleveland Guardians at Seattle Mariners on Sunday, April 2, at 4:30 p.m. ET.
