DETROIT - Bring your group down to the ballpark this summer to experience Detroit Tigers baseball. Tickets for groups 15-or-more will be on sale starting Monday, January 22 at 10:00 a.m. This season will feature expanded ticket discounts and new and improved picnic areas for groups. Select group tickets start as low as $6 ($10 off of the regular ticket price), fans can purchase group tickets by visiting tigers.com/groups or by calling 313-471-BALL.
New in 2018, the Tigers have added a Rooftop Deck party area (over the Miller Lite Pitcher's Pub). Groups of 100 or more can enjoy private food service that begins 30 minutes prior to the game and runs one hour into the game. Additionally, the popular Chevrolet Pavilion is now open to groups of 50-60 guests and features an all-inclusive experience (food and beverages including beer and wine) that is hosted from when gates open until the end of the game.
Fans looking for a more intimate and luxurious experience at the ballpark can book private, individual suites for game day rental for groups as small as 20 and as large as 300.

Popular Group Themed Nights will return in 2018, including Pink Out the Park (May 13), Polish American Night (May 25), Canadian Fan Night (June 12), Irish American Night (September 21) and more. Also returning, the Detroit Tigers and FOX Sports Detroit University Days and the Class Outside, presented by Oakland University.
The Detroit Tigers Class Outside Educational Series includes a morning of interactive academic-based presentations, followed by a Tigers game. A special ticket must be purchased to attend the Class Outside Educational Series events, which begin three hours prior to game time. This special pre-game workshop focuses on careers in Professional Sports including media relations, marketing, sponsorship, broadcasting, ballpark operations and sales. Listen to real people talk about real jobs and real life experiences in professional sports. Past events have featured speakers from the Detroit Tigers, Detroit Red Wings, FOX Sports Detroit, CBS Radio and other partner organizations.

More and more, mathematics plays into the way General Managers, journalists and fantasy sports enthusiasts evaluate the performance of professional athletes. Join the Tigers to discuss the math behind baseball and how it is used to make your favorite teams better. This presentation covers the following elements of math and how it is applied in baseball: sabermetrics, statistics, geometry, ratios and algebra.
