Indians extend three non-roster invitations to Major League Spring Training camp

The Cleveland Indians today announced the following transactions:
Signed free agents LHP JEFF BELIVEAU, RHP LEONEL CAMPOS and INF DREW MAGGI to Minor League contracts with non-roster invitations to Major League spring training camp.
Beliveau (BELL-uh-voh), 30, split the 2017 season between AAA Buffalo and the Toronto Blue Jays, posting a 3.04 ERA in 29 games with the Bisons (50.1IP, 34H, 17ER, 60SO, .193 avg). He appeared in 19 games in relief with Toronto from June 5-July 21, his first appearance in the Majors since left shoulder surgery in April 2015 after 5 outings with Tampa Bay. The Cranston, RI native posted a 2.63 ERA for the Rays in 2014 (7ER, 24.0IP) and began his career in 2008 after being selected by the Chicago Cubs in the 15th round of the First-Year Player Draft, debuting with the Cubs in 2012.
Campos, 30, also split the 2017 season between AAA Buffalo and the Blue Jays bullpen around a six-week stay on the disabled list (groin strain). The Valera, Venezuela native limited Triple-A hitters to a .171 (20-117) average against with Buffalo and compiled a 2.64 ERA across 13.2 innings with Toronto (4ER, 13.2IP). He was signed to his first professional contract by the San Diego Padres in 2010 and debuted with the Friars in 2014 and was later claimed on waivers by the Blue Jays in November 2016.
Maggi, 28, was Pittsburgh's 15th round selection in the 2010 draft out of Arizona State and has spent the last two years in the Los Angeles Dodgers organization, earning a spot on the 2016 Texas League All-Star team at AA Tulsa. He spent the entire 2017 season at AAA Oklahoma City, batting .271 (69-255) in 84 games, appearing in 36 games at third base, 28 games at second and 18 games at shortstop.
