MILWAUKEE - The Milwaukee Brewers today announced that Miller Park will be a host venue for Kenny Chesney's "Trip Around the Sun" 2018 tour, which will rock the ballpark on Saturday, April 28. This is the third time the country music star will headline at the home of the Brewers, as he entertained fans at the stadium during his "No Shoes Nation" tour in 2013 and his "Spread the Love" 2016 tour. Chesney also visited Miller Park in 2010 as part of Farm Aid's "25th Anniversary Tour."

The concert will feature other top country stars including Thomas Rhett, Old Dominion and Brandon Lay. The tour comes on the heels of Chesney's announcement of his latest album, Live in No Shoes Nation.

The Knoxville, Tennessee-born country star has recorded numerous studio albums, including 11 that have been certified platinum. He has produced countless chart-topping singles such as "Anything But Mine," "How Forever Feels," "Live A Little," "When The Sun Goes Down," "Somewhere With You," and "Never Wanted Nothing More." Chesney was honored by the industry when he received the Country Music Association's Entertainer of the Year Award four times (2004, 2006, 2007 and 2008). Last year, Chesney released his 17th studio album, Cosmic Hallelujah. The album, which topped Billboard's Top County Album chart and reached number two on the Billboard 200, includes the hit, "Setting the World on Fire." The song, which features performance-artist Pink, reached number one on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

"Kenny Chesney is an industry legend, and we're proud to bring one of the music industry's most anticipated tours to Miller Park in 2018," said Brewers Chief Operating Officer Rick Schlesinger.

Joining Chesney for the night will be Thomas Rhett, who scored his first number one hit in 2013 with "It Goes Like This." Rhett introduced a sound that mixed the southern swagger of county music with pop hooks, R&B grooves, soulful strut, and the anything-goes attitude of rock. He went on to record his second studio album, Tangled Up, which included the hit "Crash and Burn," which topped the Billboard's Country Airplay chart and went as high as number two on the Hot Country chart. This year, Rhett dropped his third studio-album, Life Changes, which features the single, "Craving You."

Old Dominion is a five-member band formed in Nashville, TN. Their debut single, "Break Up With Him," from their self-title EP, reached the number one on the Billboard Country Airplay chart in 2015. Earlier this year, the group dropped the single "No Such Thing as a Broken Heart," the first song from their second studio album, Happy Endings.

Lay released his debut single, "Speakers, Bleachers and Preachers," this past August. The Jackson, Tenn. native has built an established college-based following, touring with the likes of Old Dominion, Cole Swindell, Dierks Bentley, The Eli Young Band, Cannan Smith and Hank Williams Jr. Lay's debut full-length album is scheduled for a 2018 release.

Miller Park has played host to multiple concerts, including George Strait's Country Music Festival (2001), N'Sync (2001), Bruce Springsteen (2003), Randy Travis (2004), Bon Jovi (2005), Kid Rock/Sugarland (2008), Farm Aid's 25th Anniversary Concert (2010), Paul McCartney (2013), Kenny Chesney (2013 and 2016) and One Direction (2015). It has also hosted numerous other non-baseball events, including international soccer matches in 2014 and 2015.
