The Seattle Mariners today announced the Club will host its first-ever official fantasy camp at the Peoria Sports Complex, the Mariners Spring Training home.
The inaugural camp will be held January 11-18, 2020. Participants will be kitted out with a personalized Mariners uniform and all the accessories and be coached on the fundamentals of pitching, hitting, fielding and base-running skills by Mariners alumni and members of the organization’s coaching staff. Names of those participating will be released at a later date.
Fantasy Campers will spend their days with field work and batting practice. There will be four intra-squad games, which will be scored so players can keep track of their stats. The week will culminate with playoffs and a Championship game for camp bragging rights. The afternoon of the final day will feature an exhibition matchup between campers and participating Mariners legends and coaches.
All camp activities will be at the Mariners Spring Training home at the Peoria Sports Complex for the full Big League experience. Packages include hotel accommodations, breakfast and lunch each day, authentic uniform and accessories, Opening Night reception and awards banquet, evening programs, photos and video and a personalized baseball card to commemorate the week.
