Mariners' game Thursday at White Sox postponed to Friday

Teams will play April 5 at 11:10 a.m. PT

The Seattle Mariners game at the Chicago White Sox, scheduled for tomorrow, Thursday, April 4 at 1:10 pm (CT)/11:10 am (PT), has been postponed due to a forecast of rain.

The game, which is the White Sox home opener, will be played on Friday, April 5 at 1:10 pm (CT)/11:10 am (PT), a previously scheduled off day for both teams. The game will be televised by ROOT Sports and broadcast on 710 ESPN Seattle and the Mariners radio network.

This is the first Mariners postponement of the season.

Seattle had not had a game postponed in Chicago since April 27, 2009. Overall, it is the 9th postponement of a Mariners game in Chicago in club history.

Left-handed pitcher Yusek Kikuchi (0-0, 2.53) will start game on Friday. He is scheduled to oppose White Sox right-hander Reynaldo López (0-1, 9.00).
