Mariners sign infielder Dylan Moore

Moore, 26, split the 2018 season between Double-A Biloxi and Triple-A Colorado Springs, batting .299 (122x408) with 70 runs scored, 31 doubles, 9 triples, 14 home runs, 58 RBI, 7 HBP, 35 walks and 23 stolen bases in 121 combined games. The 6-0, 200-pound, right-handed infielder, signed a minor league contract with the Milwaukee Brewers on April 2, 2018 after being released from Atlanta on March 30. Moore opened the season with Biloxi and reached base safely in 22 of 24 games, batting .373 (31x83) with 12 runs scored, 7 doubles, 3 triples, 3 home runs, 18 RBI, 7 walks and 6 stolen base. He was promoted to Colorado Springs on May 10 and spent the remainder of the season with the Sky Sox. Overall he hit .280 (91x325) with 58 runs scored, 24 doubles, 6 triples, 11 home runs, 40 RBI, 6 HBP, 28 walks and 17 stolen bases in 97 games with Colorado Springs. Among PCL leaders, he ranked T12th in triples and T14th in stolen bases. Moore also represented the Sky Sox on the PCL All-Star team, going 0-for-1 with 1 run scored and 1 walk as pinch hitter and first baseman.
The Placentia, CA, native was originally drafted by Texas Rangers in the 7th round of the 2015 MLB First-Year Player Draft out of the University of Central Florida. He was added to the Rangers 40-man roster on November 21, 2015 and traded to Atlanta as part of a three-team trade that sent International Slot money to the Rangers on Aug. 24, 2016. In 4 minor league seasons with Texas (2015-16), Atlanta (2016-17) and Milwaukee (2018), he is batting .260 (395x1518) with 235 runs scored, 96 doubles, 13 triples, 42 home runs, 200 RBI, 175 walks and 90 stolen bases in 440 career games.
