Marlins announce special events calendar for 2017 season

The Miami Marlins today announced the club's calendar of special events for the 2017 season. Ranging from Star Wars Night, and ¿Que Pasa USA? Night, to Bark at the Park, this season will feature over 30 special events. Each special event will feature a unique Marlins giveaway item included with special event packages when purchased at Marlins.com/SpecialEvents.

The Miami Marlins today announced the club's calendar of special events for the 2017 season. Ranging from Star Wars Night, and ¿Que Pasa USA? Night, to Bark at the Park, this season will feature over 30 special events. Each special event will feature a unique Marlins giveaway item included with special event packages when purchased at Marlins.com/SpecialEvents.
 
This season will see the return of some fan favorite events as well as a few new ones. The Marlins will host Game of Thrones Night on July 14, which will feature a Tom Koehler/Jon Snow bobblehead, Star Wars Night on September 30, which will feature an Adam Conley stormtrooper bobblehead, and Wrestling Night featuring Ric Flair on July 28. In addition, Clevelander Marlins Park will host six Beerfests this season.
 
The first special event takes place on Thursday, April 13 as the Marlins host the New York Mets for Passover at the Park. Then the Marlins will celebrate Puerto Rican Heritage Night on April 28. On Sunday, April 30, the Marlins will celebrate Japanese Heritage Day and honor Ichiro Suzuki for his 3,000th hit. In total, the Marlins will celebrate eight heritage days and nights throughout the season.
 
There will also be several family friendly events this season, including: Bark at the Park (June 4 and August 27), World Emoji Day (September 17), Superhero Night (August 11) and Billy's Birthday (August 13).
