The 2025 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl Head Coaches Press Conference — featuring Clemson University’s Dabo Swinney and Penn State Interim Head Coach Terry Smith — will take place on Fri., Dec. 26, at 11:00 a.m. ET via Zoom. The head coaches will discuss the teams’ Bowl Week experiences, followed by a Q&A session with media.
The press conference will also be streamed live for fans at www.pinstripebowl.com. Additionally, shortly after conclusion, it will be archived for media and fans** at this link**.
The 2025 Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl will kick off on Saturday, December 27, at Yankee Stadium at 12:00 p.m. (ET). The game will be nationally televised by ABC and broadcast by ESPN Radio.
Clemson will make its 52nd all-time bowl appearance (27-24) and 22nd under Head Coach Dabo Swinney. The Tigers will play in their first Pinstripe Bowl, which will also mark the program’s first game at the current or original Yankee Stadium. Clemson’s first and only previous game in New York City was in 1952, when the Tigers tied Fordham, 12-12, at Triborough Stadium on Randall’s Island. This year’s Pinstripe Bowl marks Clemson’s 21st consecutive bowl game selection (since 2005) — the fourth-longest active streak in the FBS.
Penn State will make its 57th all-time bowl appearance (33-21-2) and second in the Pinstripe Bowl (defeated Boston College in overtime, 31-30, in 2014). Additionally, the 2025 Pinstripe Bowl will mark Penn State’s fifth overall appearance at the current or original Yankee Stadium (also 1923 vs. West Virginia, 13-13 tie; 1925 vs. Georgia Tech, 16-7 loss; and 1929 vs. NYU, 7-0 loss). Under Interim Head Coach Terry Smith, who took over head coaching duties on Oct. 12, the Nittany Lions won each of their final three regular season games to clinch bowl eligibility for the 11th time in the last 12 years (since 2014).
