Marlins & J.P. Morgan partner to launch good student programs

The Miami Marlins are partnering with J.P. Morgan to launch new programs aimed at recognizing and celebrating students and young leaders in the South Florida community. The new partnership provides rewards and scholarship grants to South Florida youth, and features the return of the PassSport Ticket program.

MIAMI -- The Miami Marlins are partnering with J.P. Morgan to launch new programs aimed at recognizing and celebrating students and young leaders in the South Florida community. The new partnership provides rewards and scholarship grants to South Florida youth, and features the return of the PassSport Ticket program. 
 
"As we have said from day one, we are committed to the South Florida community and growing the game of baseball with the area's youth," said Marlins CEO Derek Jeter. "We have found a great partner in J.P. Morgan Private Bank to help recognize our future leaders for their commitment to excellence and admirable accomplishments."

"We are excited about our new partnership that will encourage students to strive for excellence in school and set examples for others in their neighborhood."   
 
The following is an overview of the Marlins and J.P. Morgan Baseball for Kids programs: 
 
Good Student Program
-- Recognizes students with extraordinary achievements in school, in terms of attendance and/or grades, in the Miami-Dade and Broward County public school systems.  
-- Qualifying students will receive two complimentary ticket vouchers to use at select Marlins games. 
 
Leaders of Tomorrow Program
-- Celebrates and recognizes young adults and student leaders for their outstanding philanthropic efforts. 
-- Selected leaders will each receive a scholarship grant, totaling $30,000, and will be honored at a Marlins game. 
 
PassSport Ticket Program
-- Returning for 2018, this program is established in partnership with Major League Baseball Commissioner's Community Initiative, and provides complimentary tickets to underserved youthfocused organizations to attend select Marlins games.
