MLB & Little League International launch ticket sweepstakes for the 2019 MLB Little League Classic presented by GEICO

Tickets exclusively available to residents of Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, which includes Williamsport – the home of the Little League World Series

The Third Annual Event Featuring MLB Clubs Playing in Williamsport is Scheduled For Sunday, August 18th Between the Chicago Cubs and the Pittsburgh Pirates

As a demonstration of a shared commitment to engaging the host community of the 2019 MLB Little League Classic presented by GEICO, Major League Baseball and Little League International today announced a ticket lottery for the upcoming special event featuring the Chicago Cubs vs. the Pittsburgh Pirates on Sunday, August 18th at Historic Bowman Field in Williamsport, Pa.

The Sweepstakes will be once again exclusively available to Lycoming County, Pennsylvania residents, including those within Williamsport. Fans can register at MLB.com/LLClassic starting on Friday, June 14th at 10:00 a.m. EDT through 9:59 a.m. EDT on Friday, June 21st. Winners of the Sweepstakes will be notified soon after the Sweepstakes ends with instructions on how to receive their tickets. The special Regular Season contest, as well as ancillary activities by each club, will take place on Sunday, August 18th, with the game airing nationally that evening on ESPN’s “Sunday Night Baseball” and ESPN Radio at 7:00 p.m. (ET).

MLB and the MLBPA will host the next iteration of the MLB Little League Classic presented by GEICO at the renovated Historic Bowman Field, the home of the Class-A Williamsport Crosscutters of the NY-Penn League. Once again, the participating players, coaches and families of the 2019 Little League Baseball World Series, as well as local Williamsport youth baseball & softball organizations, will fill a significant portion of the capacity at Bowman Field. Major Leaguers on the Pirates and Cubs will attend Little League Baseball World Series games earlier in the day on August 18th, demonstrating their commitment to helping grow the game at the youth level.
