MLB Network to extensively cover the MLB Trade Deadline presented by Geico with more than 12 hours of live studio content

July 31, 2023 – For the 15th consecutive season, MLB Network is set to extensively cover the MLB Trade Deadline, with more than 12 hours of live studio content on Aug. 1, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Insiders Mark Feinsand, Jon Heyman, Jon Morosi, Joel Sherman and Tom Verducci will contribute throughout MLB Network’s coverage presented by Geico, including on the following programs:

MLB Network – Trade Deadline Day, Aug. 1:

  • MLB Central, 9 a.m. ET – Following their recent milestone 750th episode as a trio, Mark DeRosa, Robert Flores and Lauren Shehadi lead off MLB Network’s Deadline coverage, with analyst Alex Avila contributing to the program.
  • High Heat, 11 a.m. ET – Christopher Russo and Alanna Rizzo work their third Deadline together, offering informed analysis and interviews with newsmakers across the game.
  • MLB Now, 12 p.m. ET – Host Brian Kenny welcomes former general manager Steve Phillips and contributor Jayson Stark to the panel. 
  • MLB Tonight presented by Geico, 1 p.m. ET through the 6 p.m. Deadline – Every trade and news update provided by Greg Amsinger, former general manager Dan O’Dowd, Jake Peavy, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds, Adnan Virk and Tom Verducci. MLB Pipeline’s Jim Callis and Jonathan Mayo will also contribute their analysis on prospects on the move.

Following the 6 p.m. ET Trade Deadline, Siera Santos will recap all the news on MLB Tonight as live game games get underway. Big Inning will take over at 8 p.m. ET with host Gregg Caserta, followed by the Boston Red Sox at Seattle Mariners (9:30 p.m. ET) or the Oakland Athletics at Los Angeles Dodgers (10 p.m. ET). To complement MLB Network’s Trade Deadline coverage, MLB Network’s Lauren Gardner will host a special Trade Deadline program on @MLB’s Twitter platform at 2 p.m. ET, welcoming guests from around the game.   

In addition to all the Trade Deadline action across MLB Network’s studio content, Matt Vasgersian (play-by-play), Tom Verducci (analyst) and Lauren Shehadi (reporter) will call the Tampa Bay Rays at New York Yankees on the Casamigos Tequila MLB Network Showcase tonight at 7 p.m. ET and again on Wednesday, Aug. 2 at 7 p.m. ET.
