MLB Network to reveal 7th edition of the Top 10 Right Now! rankings next week

MLB Network will unveil the seventh edition of its Top 10 Right Now! series ranking the top Major League Baseball players at each position, beginning this Sunday, January 15. Over five weeks and 10 episodes concluding Sunday, February 12, host Brian Kenny will reveal the best player at each spot based on performance over several seasons with an emphasis on 2016, plus a number of offensive and defensive metrics - both advanced and traditional - and projected player performance for the upcoming 2017 season.

January 9, 2017 - MLB Network will unveil the seventh edition of its Top 10 Right Now! series ranking the top Major League Baseball players at each position, beginning this Sunday, January 15. Over five weeks and 10 episodes concluding Sunday, February 12, host Brian Kenny will reveal the best player at each spot based on performance over several seasons with an emphasis on 2016, plus a number of offensive and defensive metrics - both advanced and traditional - and projected player performance for the upcoming 2017 season.
For the first time, MLB Network will invite fans to submit their own votes to compare against the official Top 10 Right Now! lists. Each week, fans can tweet their picks for the top players at each position with the hashtag #Top10RightNow on Twitter. The results will be compiled and the fans' list will appear alongside the rankings of MLB Network analysts Eric Byrnes, Sean Casey, Cliff Floyd, Mike Lowell, Dan Plesac, Harold Reynolds, Bill Ripken, John Smoltz, Dave Valle and Preston Wilson.
Each Top 10 Right Now! episode will also feature a number of players who "Just Missed" their respective lists, along with analytics-focused roundtable analysis from Kenny, President of SABR Vince Gennaro, Boston Red Sox senior advisor of baseball operations and renowned sabermetrician Bill James and MLB.com analyst Mike Petriello.
The complete schedule for Top 10 Right Now! is listed below. The initial six episodes of the series will be made available on Wednesday, February 1 through video on demand with distributors nationwide including Comcast, Optimum, Time Warner Spectrum and Verizon FiOS, as well as MLBNetwork.com. The final four episodes will become available Tuesday, February 14.
