LOS ANGELES – Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star shortstop Mookie Betts is set to host his second annual “Smash for Good” Pickleball Tournament on Thursday, June 18 at the Griffin Club. The four-time World Series Champion will take his talents to the hard court as he teams up with Dodger teammates, celebrities, professional pickleball players and other sport athletes to support the 50/50 Foundation. The event will be hosted by Matt “McNasty” Manasse as he will curate the live matches and entertain the public throughout the evening’s festivities.
All proceeds will go to the 50/50 Foundation, which is founded by Mookie Betts and his wife Brianna Betts. Since the inception of the 50/50 Foundation in 2021, the charitable has strived to create opportunities for underserved youth by leveling the playing field through sponsorships and providing critical resources for many sectors that otherwise would not be afforded these chances.
“This is more than just a game —it’s about advancing the kids who might not otherwise get the chance,” said Betts. “Through this tournament, the 50/50 Foundation will help provide the opportunities that every kid needs to achieve their dreams.”
“With our philanthropic work throughout the Los Angeles community, we are making sure the next generation will have all they need to accomplish their goals,” said Brianna Betts.
“Smash for Good” is presented in partnership with Parker-Anderson Enrichment, a leader in after-school programming across Los Angeles and Ventura County. For over twenty-five years, Parker-Anderson has brought the most diverse selection of educational and enrichment programs to more than 1,000 schools, recreation centers, and city programs. With its motto “Fun Comes First,” Parker-Anderson focuses on hands-on learning, fitness, and nutrition and is dedicated to helping students build healthy habits and grow into the future leaders of their communities.
“We’re proud to partner with the 50/50 Foundation because we share a commitment to helping young people thrive,” said Remy Bourlier, Director of Programs and Philanthropy at Parker-Anderson Enrichment. “Through 50/50’s family nutrition workshops and community programming, we’ve seen the impact of this work firsthand. This partnership allows us to expand that impact and reach even more families.”
Produced by Platinum Events + Productions, “Smash for Good” will feature Academy Award-winning actor and entertainer Jamie Foxx, the 2026 Dodgers, Dodger Alumni, Marvel star Simu Liu, entrepreneur and athlete Cooper Tomlinson, Pro Football Hall of Famer Terrell Owens, actor and musician Evan Ross, Grammy Award-winning Maroon 5 guitarist James Valentine and many other surprise guests.
Premium culinary mastery will be offered throughout the afternoon, while the drink menu will feature hydration stations provided by Brianna Betts’s Blue Slugger Lemonade and a curated cocktail experience showcasing Providencia Tequila, Mookie Betts’ co-owned Tequila brand.
Throughout the play there will be a live auction, exclusive experiences, celebrity appearances and live music entertainment.
