Networks team up to broadcast Twins Spring Training games

FOX Sports North, Entercom's News Radio 830 WCCO and the Treasure Island Baseball Network (TIBN) announced today the Minnesota Twins Spring Training telecast and radio broadcast schedules for 2018 Spring Training. FOX Sports North will telecast 11 games, while the Treasure Island Baseball Network will broadcast 25 games and Entercom's News Radio 830 WCCO, the new metro-area radio home of the Minnesota Twins starting in 2018, will broadcast 15 games. Additionally, ESPN will broadcast one game from the CenturyLink Sports Complex on Thursday, March 22 at 12:05 pm.

FOX Sports North, Entercom's News Radio 830 WCCO and the Treasure Island Baseball Network (TIBN) announced today the Minnesota Twins Spring Training telecast and radio broadcast schedules for 2018 Spring Training. FOX Sports North will telecast 11 games, while the Treasure Island Baseball Network will broadcast 25 games and Entercom's News Radio 830 WCCO, the new metro-area radio home of the Minnesota Twins starting in 2018, will broadcast 15 games. Additionally, ESPN will broadcast one game from the CenturyLink Sports Complex on Thursday, March 22 at 12:05 pm.

Five of the telecast games will be television-radio simulcasts featuring a combination of FOX Sports North cameras, graphics and replays accompanied by play-by-play descriptions and analysis from TIBN radio broadcasters Cory Provus and Dan Gladden.

Along with Provus and Gladden, the team of broadcasters featured throughout Spring Training will include veteran television broadcaster Dick Bremer and Baseball Hall of Famer Bert Blyleven, as well as TIBN studio host and play-by-pay broadcaster Kris Atteberry and the Rochester Red Wings play-by-play broadcaster Josh Whetzel.

Entercom's News Radio 830 WCCO will begin its broadcast at 5:00 p.m. CT on Thursday, February 22 when the Twins play an exhibition games against the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers. WCCO's radio broadcasts will feature announcers Cory Provus, Dan Gladden and Kris Atteberry. In addition, WCCO's morning show, hosted by Dave Lee, will broadcast live from the 3rd baseline of Hammond Stadium at the CenturyLink Sports Complex the week of February 26th-March 2nd on weekdays from 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. CT, with player interviews and features each day from Ft. Myers, FL. All 15 Spring Training games and Dave Lee's broadcasts will stream live on wccoradio.com and Radio.com with additional content available on Facebook. Ten of the Minnesota Twins Spring Training games from the CenturyLink Sports Complex will appear on TV, beginning with a 5:05 p.m. CT telecast on Thursday, February 22 when the Twins host the University of Minnesota Golden Gophers.
