The Cincinnati Reds will wear the new Nike City Connect uniform for the first time on Friday, May 19 when the Reds host the New York Yankees at Great American Ball Park, 6:40 p.m.

Fans should arrive early for special pregame ceremonies: 

• Ceremonial First Pitch: George Foster – Reds Hall of Famer who caught the last out of the 1976 World Series featuring the Reds and Yankees. George has stayed active in the Cincinnati community since his playing days through his Foster Safe Youth Network non-profit and the Reds Community Fund. 
• Honorary Captain: Sam Hubbard – Cincinnati Bengals defensive end attended Archbishop Moeller High School and The Ohio State University. In 2020, Sam started the Sam Hubbard Foundation and is committed to fighting food insecurity in the Cincinnati community.
• Game Ball Delivery: Nick Hagglund – FC Cincinnati defender is a Cincinnati native (Lakota West High School) and Xavier University alumnus. Nick serves as a club ambassador helping to connect FC Cincinnati with the city.
• National Anthem: Jayda Klink – Hailing from Cincinnati, Jayda was a contestant on NBC’s The Voice and is a member of the Cincinnati Music Accelerator.
• Bald Eagle Flight: “Sam” the Bald Eagle from the Cincinnati Zoo & Botanical Garden will perform a flight from the TriHealth Riverboat Deck to the pitcher’s mound during the singing of the National Anthem. Sam began making these flights in 2004.

Following the game, fans will be able to enjoy a Rozzi’s Famous Fireworks show, presented by Coca-Cola, which will include the first-ever Drone Light Show at Great American Ball Park (weather permitting).

Reds players will wear the Nike City Connect uniforms every Friday home game for the remainder of the 2023 season.

Fanatics City Connect Event at Findlay Market – Saturday, May 20

The Reds and Fanatics will host a City Connect event on Saturday, May 20 from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. at Findlay Market in downtown Cincinnati.

Official City Connect merchandise will be available to purchase from Fanatics, and fans will be able to enjoy live music, food, drinks, activities for kids and special appearances by Reds legends including Marty Brennaman, Eric Davis and Todd Benzinger.
