SAN DIEGO PADRES CITY CONNECT UNIFORM MESSAGING POINTS
- Sleeve Patch: Dia de los Muertos is about remembering and celebrating our loved ones. The Padres honor our traditions and families with a La Catrina patch, an iconic symbol of this holiday and celebration of those we hold dear. She is adorned with a traditional floral crown, surrounded by ofrenda candles, and set against the aqua backdrop of the Pacific Ocean.
- Wordmark: This uniform is a continued celebration of our binational region. The refreshed wordmark is inspired by our beautiful, shared coastline, spectacular sunsets, and active lifestyle.
- The Cap: Featuring a bone crown, obsidian bill, and floral pattern on the interior, the hat design is a nod to one of the Padres’ greatest teams and legends taken too soon.
- Trim & Braid: A marigold pattern is sublimated on the trim of the sleeves and the braids on the bone-colored pants. This flower is quintessential to Dia de los Muertos and symbolizes joy and the beauty of life.
- Colors: Evocative of our vibrant landscape, rich culture, history, and traditions, the colors – bone, obsidian, marigold, aqua, fireberry, and Padres gold – come together in one uniform.
- Jock Tag: The papel picado celebrates the history of the Padres franchise and region we call home, using logos from the past that pay tribute to our teams, players, and faithful fans.

ADDITIONAL ACTIVATIONS:
On Friday, April 10, the Padres will host their first City Connect-themed Party in the Park (Southwest Airlines) in Gallagher Square. In addition to $5 drink specials and live music, it will be a celebration of the new uniforms with incredible photo opportunities and interactive experiences, including La Catrina, a lowrider, folklórico dancers, and other various visual displays. The Balboa Gate, East Village Gate and Gaslamp Gate will open to ticketed fans at 3:30 p.m. to enjoy this immersive experience and shop all-new City Connect merchandise.
The Padres have also partnered with Ballast Point—a pioneering brewery with roots in San Diego—to create a hoppy new Súper Lager that celebrates the traditions, culture, and unmistakable energy of America’s Finest City. This bright, crisp lager lays the foundation, while a burst of West Coast hops brings lively citrus, tropical fruit, and a clean, refreshing finish that mirrors the sharp salt air of the Pacific. Padres fans will be among the first to sip this new collaboration, which will initially be exclusively available on draft at Friday’s Party in the Park. Súper Lager will be available throughout San Diego later in April.
