San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals - Friday, June 28 @ 7:10 p.m.

The Padres return home from their sixth road trip of the season, a seven-day five-game trip, for their seventh homestand of the 2019 season, featuring games against the St. Louis Cardinals and San Francisco Giants. Action begins tonight with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Cardinals.

The popular Party in the Park series returns on Friday with BeerFest presented by Southwest Airlines. Elements include:

The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment and beer specials for $5 from local and national breweries, including the refreshing Swingin’ Friar Ale collaboration from the Padres and Ballast Point. All beers are available exclusively with Friar Funds.

Friday is also German Heritage Night in recognition of the San Diego German community. Fans can purchase a German Heritage Night Theme Game package for a limited-edition German-themed Padres hat. Four City of San Diego Councilmembers, including Jennifer Campbell, Mark Kersey, Scott Sherman and Vivian Moreno, will participate in the pregame ceremony to proclaim the day as “San Diego Padres 50th Anniversary Day” in the City of San Diego.

Mica Giaconi from San Diego and former contestant on FOX’s hit show, American Idol, will perform Friday’s national anthem.

Jon and Tim Foreman, San Diego natives and members of the band Switchfoot, will throw the game’s Ceremonial First Pitch.

The Freedom Reserve Section presented by Budweiser ($5 tickets for Monday through Thursday games and $10 tickets for Friday through Sunday games) will be available every home game for active duty military and their dependents.

San Diego Padres vs. St. Louis Cardinals - Saturday, June 29 @ 7:10 p.m.

As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a 50th Anniversary Gwynn or Hoffman Replica Jersey presented by Sycuan Casino Resort. The featured jerseys are personal favorites of Tony and Trevor. Five sizes are available in Youth Large and Adult Medium, Large, XL and 2XL on a first-come, first-served basis and are subject to availability.

Various former players from throughout the team’s history, including Fred Kendall of the original 1969 team, will participate in a 50th Anniversary pregame baseline ceremony where they will be greeted by a group of original Padres Season Ticket Members. These Members have held season tickets since the franchise’s first season as a Major League club.

Frankie J, R&B recording artist and San Diego native, will perform the National Anthem prior to the game. He will be joined by a sign language interpreter as part of American Sign Language Night.

As part of the 50th Anniversary celebrations, fans are encouraged to stick around after the game on Saturday to enjoy a 50th Anniversary-themed Laser Show presented by Sycuan Casino Resort.

Military Appreciation: POW/MIA Recognition Day presented by USAA takes place on Sunday. Elements of the day include:

Numerous POW/MIA representatives will be recognized during a baseline and right field pavilion ceremony.

United States Army Helicopter Door Gunner and Vietnam POW Jose Astorga will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.

Colonel Will Abbott, U.S Air Force F8 Pilot and Vietnam POW for seven years, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.

United States Marine Corps Staff Sergeant Chip Coderman will sing God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.

Nine U.S. Navy Helicopter Pilots from various commands at NAS North Island will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the “Military Take the Field.”

KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Kids Run the Bases activities include:

KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online at www.padres.com/compadres or in-person on the day of the event.

Following Sunday’s game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.

The San Diego Symphony will perform the National Anthem before Sunday’s game. The San Diego Symphony will celebrate the Padres 50th Anniversary with a special Bayside Summer Nights concert on Sunday, June 30 at the Embarcadero Marina Park South hosted by Padres Broadcaster Ted Leitner with special guests Randy Jones, Carlos Hernandez and Tony Gwynn Jr. Tickets are available at www.padres.com/symphony.
