San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Friday, July 26 @ 7:10 p.m.

The Padres return home from their eighth road trip, an 11-day, nine-game trip, for their ninth homestand of the 2019 season featuring games against the San Francisco Giants and Baltimore Orioles. Action begins tonight with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Giants.

The popular Party in the Park series returns on Friday with a 90’s-themed BeerFest presented by Southwest Airlines. Elements include:

The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with a live DJ playing 90’s music, photo booth and beer specials for $5 from local and national breweries, including the refreshing Swingin’ Friar Ale collaboration from the Padres and Ballast Point. All beers are available exclusively with Friar Funds.

Any fan who purchases a ticket for the Downtown Throwdown concert at the Sycuan Stage in Park at the Park on August 3 on site at BeerFest will receive one complimentary $5 Friar Fund per concert ticket. Friday is Catholic Night at Petco Park, a night to recognize the San Diego Catholic community. A Catholic Night representative will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell prior to Friday’s game. For more information, please visit www.padres.com/catholic.

Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute to the police departments of San Diego County, featuring:

Officers from various police departments in the San Diego County will participate in a baseline ceremony.

Chief David Nisleit from the San Diego Police Department will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.

The Padres will recognize three SDPD officers during a Home Plate Ceremony who were recently awarded the Top Cops Award, the highest honor awarded by the National Association of Police Organizations for actions above and beyond the call of duty during a deadly shooting last year.

Nine representatives from various police departments in the San Diego County will take the field to greet Padres starters at their positions.

Former Padre and current Manager of the San Francisco Giants, Bruce Bochy, will be recognized during a Home Plate Ceremony in what will be his final series in San Diego ahead of his retirement.

Theme Game Grab Bag Day takes place Friday and Sunday. Past Theme Game items from 2019 will be available with each ticket purchased through the Theme Game ticket link on www.padres.com/themegames. Fans will have the option to select one item at their time of purchase, and additional grab bag items will be available for purchase on Friday and Sunday for $10 at the Theme Game tent. Items are subject to availability on a first-come, first-served basis.

Thousands of athletes will participate in an Xtreme Diamond Sports parade along the warning track prior to Friday’s game.

The Freedom Reserve Section presented by Budweiser ($5 tickets for Monday through Thursday games and $10 tickets for Friday through Sunday games) will be available every home game for active duty military and their dependents.

San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Saturday, July 27 @ 5:40 p.m.

As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a San Diego Chicken Bobblehead presented by Sycuan Casino Resort. The San Diego Chicken will also participate in Saturday’s in-game entertainment activities and sign autographs in Park at the Park approximately one hour following the conclusion of his on-field entertainment. 

Ninety-two-year-old San Diego native and longtime Padres fan Ardie Hamry will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.

Thousands of athletes from the USSSA Tournament will participate in a pregame warning track parade.

San Diego Padres vs. San Francisco Giants - Sunday, July 28 @ 1:10 p.m.

All kids 14 and younger in attendance on Sunday will receive a Kids Backpack presented by Rocket League.

Military Appreciation: United States Marine Corps Appreciation Day presented by USAA takes place on Sunday. Elements of the day include:

Approximately 125 representatives from the U.S. Marine Corps will be recognized during a baseline ceremony.

USMC WWII, Korea and Vietnam veteran Sergeant Major John Rougas will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.

The Padres and National University, a veteran-founded nonprofit, will award two $5,000 scholarships on Sunday to a USMC active duty member and a USMC veteran.

Thirty-four future U.S. Marines will take the Oath of Enlistment administered by USMC Captain Katie Sliwoski.

Major General Robert Castellvi, Commanding General 1st Marine Division, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.

The Marine Band San Diego will perform the National Anthem

Lance Corporal Megan Browning will sing God Bless America during the 7th Inning Stretch.

A flyover will be conducted by two F-18 Hornets from Marine Fighter-Attack Training Squadron 101 stationed at MCAS Miramar.

Nine drill instructors from Marine Corps Recruit Depot will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the “Military Take the Field.”

In recognition of the local Jewish community, Sunday will also serve as Jewish Community Day at Petco Park, featuring Jewish-themed pregame entertainment. A dedicated Theme Game ticket package includes a limited-edition Padres-themed Jewish Community Day hat along with a Kosher hot dog and soda. KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.

From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a photo opportunity with Padres players and coaches on the warning track for Compadres Kids Photo Day. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online at www.padres.com/compadres or in-person on the day of the event.

Following Sunday’s game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.

As the Padres and Padres Foundation continue to place a strong emphasis on supporting local organizations who focus closely on cancer care programs and assisting families affected by cancer, representatives from Genentech Oceanside will present Mercy Medical Angels with a $15,000 check donation as part of the Strike Out Cancer pregame ceremony.

Representatives from the City of Tijuana will participate in a pregame ceremony in celebration of the City’s 130th Anniversary.

Padres infielder Fernando Tatis Jr. will be recognized as the San Diego Sports Association’s Star of the Month during the pregame ceremonies.

Taco Tuesday presented by Estrella Jalisco features Petco Park’s favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill (section 117 location), Carnitas’ Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel’s, Seaside Market and Brigantine. The Padres Estrellas program presented by ARCO continues its partnership with local school districts and non-profits to support the effort to reduce high school dropout rates and improve health and fitness behaviors within the Hispanic youth population. Prior to Tuesday’s game, students from MANA de North County, Encuentros de North County and STAR/PAL will be treated to tickets to the game and have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field before being recognized at home plate during the pregame ceremony.
