Padres to Host Mariners and Rockies for 11th Homestand of the 2018 Season

The Padres return home from their 10th road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their 11th homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Seattle Mariners and Colorado Rockies.

The Padres return home from their 10th road trip of the season, an eight-day six-game trip, for their 11th homestand of 2018, featuring games against the Seattle Mariners and Colorado Rockies. Action begins tomorrow with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Mariners.
 
The 10th Taco Tuesday of 2018 takes place Tuesday and features Petco Park's favorite local tacos at a special price. For only $2.50, fans can choose from a variety of taco options at Blue Water Seafood Market & Grill (section 117 location), Carnitas' Snack Shack, Wonderland Ocean Pub, Lucha Libre, Miguel's, Seaside Market and Brigantine.
 
Fan Rewards Month presented by Donovan's Steak & Chop House begins today and will run through the end of September, featuring a variety of activities to thank Padres fans for their support. Fans are encouraged to download the MLB Ballpark app and enable check-in offers for the chance to win prizes. During every Padres home game, fans will be treated to special offers, prizes, VIP experiences, seat upgrades and more.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Tuesday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Following Tuesday's game, kids 14 and under with the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases on the field. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.

The Padres Estrellas program presented by Arco continues its partnership with local school districts and non-profits to support the effort to reduce high school dropout rates and improve health and fitness behaviors within the Hispanic youth population. Prior to Tuesday's game, students from MANA de San Diego and South Bay Family YMCA will be treated to tickets to the game and have the opportunity to watch batting practice from the field before being recognized at home plate during the pregame ceremony.
 
The Sweetwater School District Choir will perform the National Anthem prior to Tuesday's game.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Seattle Mariners - Wednesday, August 29 @ 12:40 p.m.
 
Wednesday will feature Way Back Wednesday presented by Budweiser with the Padres wearing their home white, blue and orange pinstripe uniforms worn by the club from 1991 to 2001. In-game music, graphics and other entertainment features will add to the Way Back Wednesday theme. Fans are encouraged to purchase a special theme game ticket package to receive a 98' National League Championship Replica Pennant presented by Coca-Cola, available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the dedicated ticket package here.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Wednesday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and under) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Kids with the dedicated Friar Family Day ticket will have exclusive access to face painters available in Park at the Park from 10:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

Wednesday is also Seniors Stroll the Bases presented by Aetna Medicare Solutions. Following the game, seniors age 60 and older who purchase a ticket to Seniors Stroll the Bases will be invited to walk around the bases. The Padres and PenFed Credit Union will host a military care package assembling event to support our troops overseas. Volunteers are invited to join PenFed on the field following the conclusion of the game to fill 750 packages with toiletries, a PenFed shaker bottle and protein powder.

Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Thursday, with elements including:

The sixth College Night of 2018 will take place Thursday. Elements include:
-A DJ spinning at the Budweiser Patio in Right Field from 5:30 p.m. through the conclusion of the game.
-College students will recieve a special ticket discount here (advance price of $15 in a Right Field Upper Reserved College Night section; prices increase day-of-game). College Night food specials include a cheese quesadilla for $2.50, Turf Tacos for $2.50 and a CA Cali Burrito for $5 available at Lucha Libre.

Prior to Thursday's game, Padres infielder/outfielder Wil Myers will be honored by the Hall of Champions as their July Star of the Month during the pregame ceremonies.
 
The Padres will honor various local youth baseball and softball all-star teams that excelled in their respective divisions during the 2018 season prior to Thursday's game. Two of the teams being recognized include Escondido Youth Baseball's 11U All-Star Team, which made it to the PONY International World Series, as well as Scripps Ranch Little League Intermediate All-Star Team, which advanced to the Little League World Series.
 
San Diego Padres vs. Colorado Rockies - Friday, August 31 @ 7:10 p.m.
 
The popular Party in the Park series returns on Friday with CocktailFest presented by Southwest Airlines. Elements include:
-The party begins at 4:30 p.m. with live entertainment and Cutwater Spirit canned cocktails available for $5 and specialty cocktails available for $10 exclusively with Friar Funds.
 
Friday is the third and final Marvel Super Hero Day™ of 2018, featuring:
-A Padres-themed Black Panther Bobblehead with the purchase of a dedicated Marvel Super Hero Day™ theme game ticket package (available to the first 5,000 fans who purchase the dedicated ticket package). Ticket packages are available on a first-come, first-served basis and can be purchased here.
-Marvel Super Hero-themed in-game entertainment throughout the night.
 
Nordic Heritage Night will take place on Friday, a night to recognize the San Diego Nordic community, featuring:

Friday will also serve as a First Responder Salute to Police Department's throughout San Diego County, presented by BAE Systems. Elements include:
-San Diego Police Department Officer Francisco Roman will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Officers representing nine San Diego County police departments will line the baselines during the pregame ceremony.
-Representatives from the Padres and BAE Systems will present a $10,000 check to the Widows & Orphans Fund of the San Diego Police -Officers Association. Detective Jack Shaeffer, Vice President of the SDPOA, will accept the check during a Home Plate ceremony.
-Escondido Police Chief Craig Carter, the current president of the San Diego County Chiefs & Sheriffs Association, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-Patrick Howard Trampus, retired Chula Vista Police Department officer, will perform the National Anthem prior to Friday's game.
-Nine San Diego County police officers will take the field to greet Padres starters at their positions.

The annual Padres Foundation Mystery Ball Fundraiser begins on Friday and will continue through Saturday or while supplies last. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase a "Mystery Box" containing an autographed baseball signed by a Padres player, MLB star or Hall of Famer for a $40 donation to the Padres Foundation and their efforts to benefit youth baseball and softball programs. Mystery Boxes will be available in multiple locations throughout the ballpark including Section F and Section 109 on the main concourse and the Park at the Park near the wiffle ball field.

As part of Baseball Night in San Diego, all fans in attendance on Saturday will receive a Beach Hat presented by FOX Sports San Diego.
 
Pacific Islander Heritage Night will take place on Saturday, a night to recognize the San Diego Pacific Islander community, featuring:

On Saturday, the Padres Foundation, in partnership with SDG&E, will continue their season-long "Going to Bat for San Diego" initiative. The partnership aims to honor the 13 local organizations dedicated to keeping San Diego safe and clean. Representatives from the Padres and SDG&E will present a check for $50,000 each to Plug In America and the American Lung Association during the pregame ceremony, and two-time double lung transplant survivor Caleigh Haber will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
 
Twelve representatives from Rady Children's Hospital will be recognized during the pregame ceremony in support of Childhood Cancer Awareness.
 
The Mystery Ball Fundraiser continues on Saturday pending available inventory. Fans will have the opportunity to purchase an autographed baseball for a $40 donation to the Padres Foundation. Mystery Boxes will be available in multiple locations throughout the ballpark including Section F and Section 109 on the main concourse and the Park at the Park near the wiffle ball field.

The Sandlot Day will take place Sunday at Petco Park in celebration of the movie's 25th Anniversary. Fans who purchase the dedicated Sandlot theme game ticket package will receive a Padres-themed "Ham" Porter bobblehead and will be invited to watch The Sandlot on the field following Sunday's game (available to the first 1,000 fans who purchase the Sandlot ticket package). Sunday will also serve as a Military Salute: United States Air Force and Air National Guard Appreciation Day presented by USAA. Elements of the day include:
-Cadet Deputy Wing Commander Kade Castleberry of the SDSU Air Force ROTC will ring the Ceremonial Mission Bell.
-Over 50 representatives from the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and Civil Air Patrol will line the baselines during the pregame ceremonies.
-Chief Master Sergeant Cynthia Villa from the U.S. 4th Air Force, March Air Reserve Base in Riverside, CA, will throw the Ceremonial First Pitch.
-U.S. Air Force First Lieutenant Jeff Collins, Medical Service Corps Officer from March ARB in CA, will perform the National Anthem and God Bless America during the 7th-inning stretch.
-Nine representatives from the U.S. Air Force, Air National Guard and Civil Air Patrol will take the field to greet Padres starters as part of the "Military Take the Field."
-A flyover will be conducted by C-17 Globemaster III from the 452nd Air Mobility Wing, March ARB in Riverside, CA.
 
Friar Family Day presented by Denny's will take place on Sunday, with elements including:
-A special ticket package offer featuring $15 tickets for kids (14 and younger) and $20 for adults. A hot dog and soda is included with each ticket.
-Access to inflatables and face painters in Park at the Park prior to Sunday's game.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under with the Friar Family Day ticket are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street.

KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real Foods, Compadres Kids Sunday Signings and Postgame Kids Run the Bases activities include:
-KidsFest presented by Chick-fil-A and supported by Del Real features bounce houses and other inflatables, games, face painters, balloon artists and more kid-friendly activities in Park at the Park beginning at 10:30 a.m.
-From 11:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., two Padres players will sign autographs at the Park at the Park for Compadres Kids Sunday Signings. A Compadres Kids membership is required to participate. Membership is free, and kids can sign up online here or in-person on the day of the event.
-Following Sunday's game, kids 14 and under are invited to run the bases. Kids and their families can begin lining up following the conclusion of the eighth inning at the top of the ramp leading to the Craft Pier presented by Ballast Point on K Street. Compadres Kids members will receive front-of-the-line privileges by lining up at the Park Blvd Gate Plaza.
