Coming up this week, the Phillies will host the Toronto Blue Jays (June 15-16) and Arizona Diamondbacks (June 17-20) at Citizens Bank Park. Below are some of the must-know highlights when coming to the ballpark.
On Wednesday, June 15, the Phillies welcome the Toronto Blue Jays with the first-ever Canadian Heritage Celebration at Citizens Bank Park, featuring a limited edition Canadian Heritage Matt Stairs T-shirt giveaway available only through a Theme Night ticket purchase.
Ashburn Alley opens at 5:05 p.m., all gates open at 5:35 p.m. Game time is 7:05 p.m. The game will be broadcast on Comcast SportsNet.
On Thursday, June 16, Temple University police Captain Joe Garcia - recently awarded with the 1st Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence's 'Excellence in Male Leadership Award' for Eastern Pennsylvania - will make the ceremonial first pitch in honor of all he has done to end gender violence. PCADV will also host a #FathersDayPlegePA pre-game ceremony, and the Phillies will show a new PSA to bring awareness to the cause.
Also on Thursday, June 16, all fans will receive an MLB Network Tote Bag available at all gates. Plus, it's #TBT Emoji T-Shirt Night, featuring Phillies Alumni as emojis, available only through a special Theme Night ticket. On Friday, June 17, get ready to enjoy great music and dancing at the Phillies' African American Heritage Celebration presented by The Sound of Philadelphia. Odunde365 Universal African Dance and Drum Ensemble will perform at the left field gate at 5:50 p.m. and on-field at 6:30 p.m. Plus, the 2016 Phillies Gamble & Huff Community Partnership Award will be presented to recording jazz artist Gerald Robert Veasley, WDAS radio personality Patty Jackson and recording artist Joe Simon.
