Pirates recall Bostick

The Pirates have recalled infielder/outfielder Christopher Bostick from Triple-A Indianapolis, where he hit .297 with 25 doubles, four homers and 34 RBI in 81 games. His batting average currently ranks seventh among the International League leaders.

The Pirates have recalled infielder/outfielder Christopher Bostick from Triple-A Indianapolis, where he hit .297 with 25 doubles, four homers and 34 RBI in 81 games. His batting average currently ranks seventh among the International League leaders.

Bostick, who was an International League mid-season All-Star, hit .324 (12-for-37) in his 11 games played in July. He went 2-for-4 in his last game played on Monday at Columbus.

Bostick was also a 2017 International League All-Star and hit .294 with 33 doubles, seven home runs and 57 RBI in 126 games with Indy last year.

The right-handed hitting Bostick made his Major League debut with the Pirates last year and hit .296 (8-for-27) with an RBI in 20 big league games.

Bostick will wear uniform #44.
