The 2017 PiratesFest, presented by Chick-fil-A, will get underway this season at PNC Park on Saturday, December 9, with a Season Ticket Holders only session from 9 a.m. to noon, and open to the general public from noon to 6 p.m. The venue change will give fans an opportunity to explore the ballpark and to enjoy areas to which they may not have access in the summer.
The annual baseball carnival will have activities for the entire family featuring live events, free autograph sessions for kids 14 and under, the ability to purchase ticket packages for the 2018 season, prizes, games, the Pirate Parrot and much more. In addition, Pirates 2018 single-game tickets will be made available starting on Friday at 10 a.m., and during PiratesFest fans can purchase tickets at the PNC Park Main Box Office as well as ticket kiosks located throughout PNC Park.
On Friday, December 8, Pirates players will be signing autographs in the Rivertowne Brewing Hall of Fame Club for fans who secured tickets earlier in the week at pirates.com/PiratesFest. All proceeds from the autograph sessions, which quickly sold out, will benefit Pirates Charities and the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. The Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank's mission is to eliminate hunger in southwestern Pennsylvania.
To further assist in that mission, on Saturday, fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to collection areas located inside the Left Field Gate to be donated to the Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank. For every bag of food donated, fans will receive a specially-designed Pirates Charities night light.
