2021 Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase

91 local baseball and softball teams to compete April 10 to May 15

March 24th, 2021

The 10th annual Skyline Chili Reds Futures High School Showcase presented by Cincinnati Children’s Sports Medicine & Orthopaedics will feature 91 high school baseball and softball teams from 81 Greater Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky, Southeast Indiana and Dayton schools playing 49 games from April 10 to May 15, 2021.

The Showcase kicks off with Opening Weekend at the P&G MLB Cincinnati Reds Youth Academy featuring six baseball games on April 10 and three softball games on April 11.

On April 17, the Showcase will celebrate Jackie Robinson Day by hosting teams from 11 Cincinnati Public Schools playing baseball and softball games at the Reds Youth Academy. Players will wear “42” jerseys in honor of Robinson, who broke baseball’s color barrier in 1947.

The inaugural Gabby Rodriguez Day at the Reds Youth Academy on April 18 will feature three softball games played in memory of the Western Hills High School student and former Cincinnati RBI softball player who passed away in 2018.

Two of the Reds’ 150th Anniversary Legacy Project fields will host games on April 15 at Frank Robinson Field at Ross Park in St. Bernard and May 7 at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Field at Bellevue Vets in Bellevue, Ky.

Ten teams are scheduled to play at Great American Ball Park during the annual “Big League Weekend” on May 14 & 15.

Showcase tickets are $5 each and available at the scheduled ballpark on game days. With each ticket purchased, fans will receive a coupon good for one free Skyline Chili Cheese Coney at participating restaurants, while supplies last.

Most Valuable Players from each Showcase game will be invited to GABP on Sunday, May 23 to receive their commemorative bats, compliments of MSA Sport, in a pre-game ceremony prior to the Reds vs. Milwaukee Brewers game.
