OAKLAND, Calif. – Per Major League Baseball, the A’s have been cleared to host baseball activities today at the Oakland Coliseum, and resume the season tomorrow at home vs. the San Diego Padres, as scheduled.
Since the A’s announced that a member of the organization tested positive for COVID-19 on August 28, all subsequent tests for the remainder of the traveling party – including those taken on Wednesday – have been negative.
The Club had four games postponed (Aug. 30 in Houston & Sept. 1-3 in Seattle) as a result of the positive test. The Houston game has been rescheduled for Sept. 8 in Oakland as part of a doubleheader, and the Seattle series will be made up as part of two doubleheaders; Sept. 14 in Seattle and Sept. 26 in Oakland.
